' MINI-UPDATE - THURSDAY DEC 5th 2013 '

Thu Dec 05, 2013 6:38 pm

After last night's draw at Stoke the squad and staff stayed in Stoke and then travelled to Croydon this morning where they start preparations for the game against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

For those interested in buying blue merchandise from the club superstore like retro kits etc the store will be restocking blue items but it will not be available until after Christmas. There are no Retro tops left, all sold out. There are currently 4 items of blue. plus this seasons new blue away shirt, selling fast.

Next time you visit the Ticket Office you will find it has had a makeover, it was being painted today and before you ask, yes it is red.

At the start of the season there was a row concerning end of season appearance/bonus payments for the squad.

The players wanted each player to receive the same amount should they make appearances regardless of their age and it was agreed that it will be the same payment across the squad.

Each player will receive £30k appearance bonus at the end of the season whether relegated or not but if the club keeps its place in the Premier League for next season then that £30k will rise to £100k per player who featured throughout this campaign.

Hopefully come the end of the season our players will get the higher bonus amount as we will have achieved our goal of being a Premier League team for another season.

With £65.5m being paid to the team that finishes 17th in the Premier League the bonus for staying up is not disproportionate to the sums on offer to the clubs in the league.

As some of you may already know next years season tickets will go on sale in February 2014.

Mad how much you get paid for finishing 17th. I wonder what you get for finishing around 14th, which is where I predict us finishing? :o

£70m.

The club finishing bottom gets £61m and each position higher receives £1.5m extra.

Any idea if there'll be an increase on season ticket prices? Is the five year price freeze still on? Can't remember when it ended!

My first year as an adult season ticket holder, as I turned 21 last month :(

Great stuff :ayatollah:

Unfortunately many will only renew in May, and won't if we go down.

I'll get mine on release day, same as every year :ayatollah:

The tide is turning back to blue. Wear a red shirt and look like a cretin if you must or better still, one of those stupid free red scarves.

Every time I see one of those scarves I want to punch the tw@t wearing it. Dull fekkers

With the season tickets going on sale in Feb, how does that work if we want to have a look at moving to the new stand in the Ninian? I know that I have to wait to be offered, just wondered if anyone knew the timescale for this? I want to have a look at the view before I do move, not sure if the club will do that though?

Either way season ticket will be renewed no matter where we are int he league! :ayatollah:

I suspect that you'll have to commit to buying your usual season ticket in February and when the new seats become available, you'd have to pay any additional costs if you decide to move! :ayatollah:

Im hoping they let you go over for a mosey of the view - i would be gutted if the view was crap but you couldn't judge it before hand. Mind you the Canton is exactly the best view in the house

Have the players got relegation clauses in their contracts? Should be planning for every eventuality.
