I'm willing to bet that the tactics will change when some of the lower level teams come to Cardiff. It's a strange fixture list so far in that the 7 home games played were all against strong teams (based on today's table).

Man City (3rd)
Everton (5th)
Spurs (6th)
Newcastle (7th)
Swansea (11th)
Man Utd (9th)
Arsenal (1st)

In matches against teams fighting for European places it's understandable that Malky will choose a side and tactics that focus on a strong defense.

Aside from the match at Stamford Bridge, our away matches have been against teams that are struggling.

West Ham (17)
Hull (12)
Fulham (18)
Chelsea (2)
Norwich (16)
Aston Villa (10)
Stoke (14)

Many of these away games were winnable, but I think that Malky will go (and has gone) into away games focused on being hard to beat and aiming for a draw.

Where I assume Malky will change up team tactics and attempt to be more offensive minded are the home games against the lesser teams that have yet to have been played:

West Brom (13)
Sunderland (20)
West Ham (17)
Norwich (16)
Aston Villa (10)
Hull (12)
Fulham (18)
Crystal Palace (19)
Stoke (14)

Home form has been decent against the top teams. I'd like to see us set up more positively away from home, but results there (despite ugly, gritty performances) haven't been too bad either. What gives me hope and makes for good reading are the teams we still have to play at home. I think Malky will be more aggressive in these games and I can't really blame him for aiming for draws based on our fixture list thus far. At least that's my take on it.

Excellent post. A lot of sense there, sir :ayatollah:
