What a load of shit

Wed Dec 04, 2013 9:49 pm

Just back in the far.

Christ we were awful tonight, drastic improvement needed!

Whittingham was terrible, Medel's passing was awful.

When Odemwingie came on for Campbell I was fumimg. Why take off a striker when we need a win???

Just awful.

We didn't NEED a win. A point at Stoke is always good. We're now up two places in the league.

Exactly! There are no easy games in the Premier League, and Stoke away is particularly tricky.

Agreed! We're not aiming for mid table, or top half, just survival, and a point at the likes of Stoke will always help you do that!

Malky knows what he is doing, he set the team up to grind out a draw, did you honestly expect a relegation battle match between cardiff and Stoke to be....like watching Brazil???

Malky makes the tactical decisions well, whether they be to grind out a draw, or to take the game to the opposition as we have done in the games at home in the games we have taken unexpected points. Malky is no mug, keep the faith.

Exactly, why make a like for like sub?

We needed a win, as we now have to go to Palace and win.

But the point is, that was painful to watch.

Campbell was on a yellow despite being the one pushed, so why risk a double yellow under those circumstances.

Why do we have to win at palace??? a win would be great but a draw wouldn't be a disaster.

Wasn't that tricky, they were shit! If we was more attacking 2nd half, we could have took 3 points home! It's these games away we have to make the most of it.

We all said we needed four points from these two games.

People being hypocrites by saying it, but then being happy with two points instead.

Not often I criticise the team or manager, but I have to make an exception for tonight.

People are talking like it was the Tony Pulis Stoke of a couple of years ago.

Both sides were f*cking awful tonight

Agreed, shows how bad we were when we played worse than f*cking Stoke.

Probably the worst standard of football any two teams in this league will produce this season but who cares, we got a point and most importantly a clean sheet.

Fantastic result.

Re: What a load of shit

Thu Dec 05, 2013 5:00 pm

Like others who were there tonight I thought the result was poor.

Forget what we would have been happy with before we left Cardiff, that's irrelevant.

We could all see, and surely Malky must have thought it, that after 15 minutes this was a game we could and should have won. If you set yourself up for a point (and that was boring as hell to watch) but then you see how crap the opposition are, you should be saying to yourself we can win this so let's go for it. Christ if we don't change tactics during a game to make the absolute most of the opportunity then we are a piss poor setup.

I never slag off the manager and only occasionally one or two players (like Cowie who doesn't do it for me) but last night we really could have got more than a point if we'd wanted it enough. If we're not going to win games against the likes of a poor Stoke what chance have we got against decent sides.

Why did we end up with Mutch as our central striker late in the game when we have a tried and tested striker desperate for a game on the bench. How is Cornelious mean't to get his foot in the door with virtually no game time. If he's on the bench then he must be fit to play. The lads around me were baying for a substitute well before the end. I think Malky didn't make a sub because he couldn't fathom out which player was the worst of a bad bunch in order to take one off. In truth there can't be any excuse for keeping Whitts or Cowie on after their first half performance, both were having a nightmare. Once you see them struggling for whatever reason as much as they were last night, then you have to make some changes. I felt sure at half time that Malky would get some fresh blood on the pitch. It worries me that Malky was smiling as he left the pitch, obviously well happy with the point. Fair enough but it could have and should have been 3. Also are the players sitting at home now feeling pleased with last nights performance, it concerns me that our settling for a point and a piss poor show is considered as being OK just because we got a point.

All this "we went for a point and what a great result cause we got one" business just makes us look like we don't know what we are doing. I honestly thought that at half time Malky would be telling some of the players some home truths, letting them know they weren't up to scratch in the first half against a piss poor team and telling them to get out there and win the game.

We've just had an incredible 4 points when we expected nothing against Swansea, Man U and Arsenal. Let's not kid ourselves though that the efforts last night at Stoke are acceptable, either from the players or Malky.
