" TOUGH START BUT I THINK IT IS PROMISING "

Mon Dec 02, 2013 8:47 pm

We have played 7 games at home this season :

Man City 3pts
Everton 1pt
Tottenham 0pts
Newcastle 0pts
Swansea 3pts
Man Utd 1pt
Arsenal 0pts

8 points gained at home.

We have played 6 games away from home so far :

West Ham 0pts
Hull 1pt
Fulham 3pts
Chelsea 0pts
Norwich 1pt
Villa 0pts

5 points gained away from home.

We have taken 13 points in total so far from the 13 played.

From the 7 home games played so far I expected this to happen :

Man City 0pts
Everton 1pt
Tottenham 0pts
Newcastle 3pts
Swansea 1pt
Man Utd 0pts
Arsenal 0pts

I expected to take 5 points from the 7 played at home.

From the 6 away games I expected this to happen :

West Ham 0pts
Hull 1pt
Fulham 1pt
Chelsea 0pts
Norwich 3pts
Villa 1pt

I expected to take 6 points from the 6 played away.

I thought being realistic we would take 11 points from the first 13 games, I believe we are 2 points further ahead than I expected to be right now.

It has been a difficult start to our home campaign in particular but there are games still to come which I believe we must target as games to gain 3 points from.

West Brom H Draw
Southampton H Draw
Sunderland H Win
West Ham H Win
Norwich H Win
Villa H Win
Hull H Win
Fulham H Win
Liverpool H Lose
Palace H Win
Stoke H Win
Chelsea H Lose

If my predictions or rather expectations are correct we will get 26 points from 12 home games.

Stoke A Draw
Palace A Win
Liverpool A Lose
Arsenal A Lose
Man City A Lose
United A Lose
Jacks A Lose
Spurs A Lose
Everton A Lose
West Brom A Draw
Southampton A Lose
Sunderland A Draw
Newcastle A Lose

If my expectations are correct on the final 13 away fixtures we will get 6 points.

If my predictions are correct then we will finish the season on 45 points and stay in the Premier League.

Am I too optimistic with my home form predictions or am I being too pessimistic about our away games ?

What do you think we will get over the course of the season ?

If by the time we go into the new year we are on 22 points or more I will be extremely happy and confident :malky:

only thing will say is there is bound to be some we expect to win but we lose, and visa versa! should be interesting times ahead, but confident we will stay up just!! :ayatollah:

Think you may be ambitious with home haul Carlos but possibly underestimating our away form though I agree net net thus far we are probably ahead of target by a couple of points. Anything less than 2 points this week is failure. Need to collect 10 points this month at least.

Carl, We dont usually agree on a lot stuff like Dave Jones etc :D But I have to stay I agree nearly on everyone of your predictions except I reckon we will win away to Sunderland. We will struggle big time away at some of those clubs like u say defeat after defeat, but We will make it up with plenty of home wins.

WE WILL STAY UP CARLOS, IF THE MAD MAN LETS MALKY KEEP HIS JOB  :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Still think that we have got it all to do. Not particularly optimistic, but then I never was. At the end of the season, the table won't be telling lies. All we can do is give it our best shot. The Premier League is not the be all and end all. We've been relegated before :ayatollah:

we seem to have run out of steam in March the last two years..and then found a second wind in April...be nice if he could rotate a little more this year.......because April is tough

I think we will suprise the Jacks, and beat them away to do the first double, it will be lucky aswell and the ref will have a nightmare in our favour :ayatollah: :malky:

And we will stay up, all the weaker teams still to play at home !!!!!

Carl - To be honest at this stage of the season, I wouldn't disagree with any of your predictions. I just hope your right and we get enough points to stay up. :)

In this thread football is about points. And we won't get 26 from 36

One third of the season gone, and bottom three clubs have 10 points or less. I don't think 40 points will be the magic number this time, 36 or 37 points may be enough to keep us up. If we avoid relegation just by goal difference alone, we should be able to do better next season. Personally, I think we'll be ok, apart from Swansea, we've still got the weaker teams to play at home, and I'm not convinced the jacks will be safe given their injuries, don't see them scoring many goals for a while.
