Adverts....desperate...

have asked before but still having problems with averts appearing when i open a thread to read on this site and some other sites.
have tried addblockers and various different virus programmes plus chrome to Iexplorer but to no avail. becoming desperate now would appreaciate new ideas...preferably free...lol

have you tried opening forum from another window? google ect or use another entry method

Check to see if you have the dreaded "Win32.downloader.gen" virus embeded - very dangerous.

As well as open up adverts on your computer, it makes your computer run slow, do strange things, etc and also can spy on your computer, bank details, key loggers, etc.

Run an anti malware/trojan program firstly to detect if you got it? (its usually picked up from logging into dodgy sites - free downloads, porn,etc). - suggest "spybot search and destroy" free.

Most anti malware won't get rid as it embeds itself deep into other programs (trojan) on your main C drive.

If you have got it and your anti malware wont get rid - google "Win32.downloader.gen" into google - its becoming a massive problem.

What about on iPad mate ? The adverts r popping up on this forum but I'm sure iPads cannot get viruses

I have Mcafee which blocks all adverts

I wouldn't have thought pop up adverts would be originating from this site.

Is it certain companies/adverts that are showing up? Does it open in a new window?

tried IE still appears but not so often, dfs.jsjones,fastonfinder,avg,tesco are the main culprits. But the main problem seems to be from AAbraham site. (sorry about that annis)..lol
even when i opened this window to write this.

Just to let you know that my advert problem seems to have disappeared, thanks to some sugetions on here. what i did was used superantivirus twice,also ccleaner and my local protection system. i also got rid of google chrome for about two weeks and used internet explorer.
on returning to google chrome everthing seems to have cleared up (fingers crossed) so thanks again for the suggestions.
