Would be interesting to try in a cup game![]()
Cowie and gunnarsson have the legs to play the wide roles and protect the wide areas leaving mutch and whitts to feed the front 3 .

I think we would get obliterated with that formation tbh. Wing backs might work but surely Theophile-Catherine would be perfect for that role on the right. A lot of teams play one striker so we would be faced with 3 vs 1 at the back.

He did it against the jacks and was out on his feet with 20 minutes to go
Definitely an option though. Wednesday is crucial. We need to line up as we did against United. 3 in midfield with Cowie on the right and Odemwingie in the hole linking with Campbell. Stoke there for the taking

With Huth out they are weak at the back and Everton proved that yesterday so if that in mind they are there for the taking.

It's a nice idea though, my team would be:-
Marshall
Caulker, Hudson, Turner
KTC, Taylor
Mutch, Whitts, Medel
Frazier, Cornelius

For me Taylor would be the weak link there as he has no pace and offers little in the way of attacking options other than the odd decent cross - he always turns in and his pass is invariably backwards or sideways and puts the receiver under pressure as it has taken an age to get to him. This is one of the main reasons Turner has to hoof so much.
I would look at Bellamy as the short term option if we were to try this as his tracking back is excellent and he still has enough pace to get forward. Long term though, we would need someone else - maybe Declan John at some point? Inexperienced but has looked the part.

would you think Medel alongside Caulker would help that?

City tying him down to a long term deal shows how much faith they have for him

He has only in the last year or 2 converted from left winger to full back mate so definitley has the qualities going forward.
