Arsene Wenger - " Impossible to change our colours like Cardiff did "

Arsène Wenger insists Arsenal would never change their colours even if someone offered the Club £100 million.

The Gunners' played Cardiff City, changed their home colours from blue to red at the beginning of last season under the instruction of Malaysian owner Vincent Tan - a decision that received widespread criticism from their fans.

If you take the case of Arsenal, with the history of the Club, it would be extremely difficult
But Wenger said it would be "impossible" to do the same at Arsenal.
"For us, it's impossible to change colours," Wenger said. "I don't know what happened at Cardiff but Vincent Tan managed to do it.
"If you take the case of Arsenal, with the history of the Club, it would be extremely difficult.
"It is a coincidence that my whole life I managed only red teams."

Easy to say when you manage a club like Arsenal. It would've happened at any other club if they were in our situation.

Well done Arsenal. You stuck to your guns - despite your decades in the lower divisions and uncertain financial future.

You would only get the change through with smaller clubs, a big club would never allow it due to history tradition and size of fan base !!! :ayatollah: :old: :ayatollah:

There are many factors why it couldn't happen at Arsenal, but what Arsene Wenger doesn't mention is the affection his club has with their traditional away colours of yellow and blue

You saw many blue&yellow Arsenal scarves and merchandise at Highbury and the Emirates. One of the gooners'best known songs starts with the words"She wore a yellow ribbon"

Luckily they've always had the backing of their community. Cardiff City hasn't
