Or was he bought directly by Tan like velikonja and Earnie?
I have come to the conclusion that Malky can pick a defender or midfielder just not an attacker. Really bad record of buying strikers.

Yep Frazier Campbell for 650k was a shit deal

what actually help if odemwingie gets to start and play upfront and have a run, he is normally being played outwide or coming of bench to play up top on his own and with the way we play the lone striker role is twice as hard to do and that's why I believe we don't get to see the best of fraiser Campbell all the time

I don't see how odemwingy fits into the system malky likes to play. He seems totally wasted as a lone striker or as a wide player in a 5 man midfield.

Nothing wrong with Odem as a signing. He just tries to do more than he can do.
As for the poor record of strikers, Campbell, Mason and Helguson have been successful for us, Miller and Gestede also did a good job. We all know Malky didn't want Earnie, who knows about Velikonja. Maynard was a good signing just very unlucky.
I don't see that as a bad record

Not a bad record but not a good one.
Campbell and Mason good signings.

Really rated him to begin with but getting a bit frustrated now with his inability to hit a pass and get the ball away quickly and accurately

Needs to be playing in the 'number 10' role imo.

Would we ever see Acorn with Peter O and Frazier either side of him?

Spot on, He needs to play along side another striker to be affective.

Campbell & Bellamy played a few games up front together last year and formed a decent partnership, so why not Campbell & Odemwingie?
Disappointing change for me yesterday, Odemwingie coming on I had no problem with, but Campbell is showing some form again and didn't look tired, so why not try it or bring Cornelius on earlier?
Also, in defence of Odemwingie thought he did well against the Jacks and last week against Man Utd!

Dont know what people are expecting from him, hes never been a world beater striker so I cant see how he can be an improvement on campbell, by anything more than marginal
he has the potential to score goals yeah but maybe hes a premiership version of richard langley

Exactly so why buy him and give him a 3 year contract on 30k a week?

moody or malky wont decide the price, thats sorted out at boardroom level.
You cant judge a scout or manager on costs of players, just how the player plays.

well thats not strictly true. A manager will know roughly what budget he has and will have to scout players accordingly, therefore, finding the best possible players available for roughly what they have to spend is their job.

They will make a call to the selling club and recieve a ball park figure of what they are expecting, this will then be passed up the chain.
But boardroom still make the call. Look at risdale, when he bought fowler, he paid about 6 million over what liverpool were expecting. Now the scout is judged on a player at 12 million not 8mill.
Thats the cost of anyother player.
