I thought he was one of few players who performed today.

It looked like last season in the championship. Always available, always found a teammate in a good position, a few tackles (not billy Bremner stuff, but you'd be sent off within 5 mnns nowadays)

I'm a Cardiff fan living in Ireland. Being singing Whitts praises for last 4 years, although most footie fans here have heard of him none really knew much of him. All that has changed in last 2 weeks. The games against Man U and Arsenal obviously are very big here. And everyone over here i have spoke to has raved about Whitts. Some utd fans believing he is the type of player they are missing.

My fave bluebird ever.... Whitts.

I'm not suggesting United would come calling but he would fit into 'the United way' a lot better than fallenni

One of the few Cardiff City Legends :ayatollah:

You could see it yesterday, he was one of the few players that consistently controlled the ball and got his passes away quicker than anyone else. If only he had managed to get a goal from one of his shots on the edge of the box; we'd have been raving about his performance if he could have nicked one!

One minor negative was that a couple of his corners didn't make it past the near post. I know I'm being harsh and he can't be expected to produce quality deliveries all the time, but I expected slightly more for them consider his high standards.

It drives me mad when it doesn't even bear the first man

I can only think the near post option is a call Malky makes before the game as the opposition are waiting for the back post hanging cross

Youre wasting your time on this forum singing Whitts praises most of the posters havent got a clue.

They dont realise a team is made up of various types of players.

They would rather concentrate on his lack of pace, or the fact he doesnt steam into tackles than his ball retention, vision and control.

The sort of idiots who still chant "Get into em and f**k em up".

Your cracking me up today.

If any of our players will benefit from being in the premier it will be Whitts. In the chasmpionship he was hounded out of the game but in the premier strangely enough that is not happening and this is why Whitts is going to shine.

His corners don't beat the first man?

You're right if you're just talking about the Arsenal game. However, over the season his delivery will be up there with the best.

The whole idea with Whitts corners is to hit them fairly flat with power giving the best chance of getting on the end of it whilst flying in. Unfortunately that means there is always the chance that it won't miss the first man. It's all about percentages and if he does get over the first man then it will cause real danger.

Have to say his delivery for the equaliser against Man Utd was non too shabby  :ayatollah:

Spot on!

I cant beliebve some of the shit written on here.

His corners / free kicks have led to half our goals this season and people grumble at a couple that get underhit.
