Arsenal were superb in the first half and we didn't seem to have an outlet, especially in the last third of the pitch where the final ball and final touch was poor. Usual story for me, when we play overly cautious - we don't create enough when we play that way.
However, in the second half, we kept Arsenal very quiet indeed for about 20 minutes or so. The major mistake as far as I'm concerned, was the introduction of Odemwingie. Campbell was totally the wrong man to bring off, and I feel we lost an awful lot of momentum at that point because FC worked his bollocks off for us today. Odemwingie had one half decent run but was quite selfish on the ball in my opinion, so that like for like substitution did nothing for us whatsoever. If anything, I'd have taken Mutch off and brought Cornelius on a bit earlier, to give FC some back up earlier on.
Nooney looked good when he arrived on the pitch, but by then our momentum was gone I think.
Kim played well, as did KTC; Turner had a great defensive game and overall, we looked very good at times, but things work so much better for us when he have a go at teams, as proven last week and at certain points today.
The biggest shame is, for most of the game we looked half decent and unfortunately the scoreline means tonight's MOTD will be an Arsenal wankfest. Otherwise, we'd have come out looking good despite the initial 1-0 scoreline.

Arsenal are playing much better than UTD hence why they are top and on a superb European run

I know that, but they can hurt you just as much as Arsenal on their day, and they were champions last season.
If we went into every game against top six teams with a 'chalk it off' attitude, we wouldn't have beaten City, drawn with Everton and drew with United last week...

Felt sorry for Campbell. Sure, he wasn't great today, but the guy was possibly more isolated up top than any game previous. The gap between him and the midfield line was enormous. You can see how pissed off he is at himself when he gets substituted, and I feel bad for the guy, because it's the formation that's letting him down, not his performance. He really needs someone up top with him to help him out, and by that I mean another striker, not two wingers.
4-5-1, and variations of it, are working great for some teams, but sides like Newcastle are doing great with 4-4-2, etc. Malky mustn't feel forced into the formation just because most other teams are using it.

Think if we had played someone else up top with Campbell today we would have been over ran in midfield and Arsenal would have dominated us.
We were in the game for 80 mins & with a bit of luck mght have got an equaliser with FC header (great save from Szcesney) No shame on losing 2 the best side in the league.
2 massive games this week for us!!!

Taylor came over to Malky and co complaining about something, seemed to be saying he'd pulled something in his leg. Initially kerslake told Gunnar to warm up, but Malky appeared to tell Gunnar to sit down and said to Cornelius 'you're up'. It was only the last few mins and Malky thought f it, get Tayls off, drop Whitts back and get another striker on and see if we can get something, it was 1-0 at this point, 2-0 by the time Corny came on.

Spot on. Taylor was pointing at his ankle but to me he looked like he was knackered and out of breathe..
