Medel Switches Off

Medel, good neat and tidy player but he switches off and leaves people.

Not the first time it's cost us either. I think it was West Ham where he did the same thing.

I'm starting to think he's a luxury player, one that we've paid far too much for.

For £11million odd, considering that he offers nothing in attack, you expect consistency in his passing and concentration. Both were lacking today.

He is a defensive midfielder for god sake. They are meant to stop play coming through midfield and keep things ticking over. They don't bomb forward with the ball looking to score.

Erm, I know what a defensive midfielder is expected to do, thanks.

Seems to have at least one lapse at least per game and in his position it can be dangerous.

Leave it out he been one of our best players this season, everyone on here was singing his praises the other day

been watching him.iv been well impressed with him.on a down side i think he let someone go for a man utd goal last week too.i find it strange he lets people drift past him .the lad plays centre half for chile so you would think he,d be mega switched on

Good player but you can't leave your man at this level. Well at any level really, but you get what I mean - more likely to get punished for it in the prem.

One mistake a game? I'll take that! Granted he is playing a position where mistakes stand out but he's been outstanding so far! :ayatollah:

People being a little harsh imo. He gets though a lot of work, bet he covered more ground than anyone today.

His passing was more concerning today but everyone has off days and he didn't hide, kept going.

I watched him against England and only time I've see him play CB and to me he is not a CB.

I think people are being over critical, today wasn't his best day but same can be said for most players.

Medal is a magnificent player. Allows Mutch and Whitts to get on the ball, rarely ever gives the ball away and wins so many ball back for us. Watched the match Arsenal match with a Chelsea fan that was seeing Medal for first time since he joined us. Every time Medal was near the ball he kept mention Claude Makelele. No bigger compliment needed. Medal does the ugly things that will keep us up.

I thought yesterday was his worse game for us,but until then, he has done a great job. Tired from all his international duty, catching up on him?

Not only that Annis, but tired from having to do a difficult job against the best players in the world with mainly average players alongside him.

He's a class act but we are asking too much from him.

I think quite a few fans are forgetting to factor this in when judging him.

i didn,t see it luke .i heard he played well but there again we,re not exactly ripping teams a new one so he may have had a easy night.i like the lad.jordan mutch can play in front of the centre halfs if i remember right.seems a decade since he was being touted as the new blues messiah.then being turned on by a small section of the crowd  jm is a very talented lad
