Going to palace next week. Where is the best place to park? Don't mind parking further out and getting the train in!

Cheers

It's an absolute nightmare and zealous 'Parking Attendants' (Traffic Wardens in old money ;) ) are everywhere

Spoke to a copper last time up and even they said they (wardens) are a nightmare and see it as a 'sport'

If you can get the train (or a bus) in from outside the area, it would be better for you. However, it is a fair trek from any of the 3 surrounding railway stations (Norwood is the one I use)

I usually go down from central London (I have parking available through work contacts and I'm up there for this game on a course anyway) and even that isn't cheap. Was around £20 return 2 years ago!

Anyone driving (i.e. not on an official coach) needs to plan well ahead for parking and/or transportation and allow LOTS of time for manoeuvre. I've known people arrive in cars 2 or 3 hours before the game and struggle to get in on time

Not brilliant, but I hope this helps :ayatollah:

Think I've found a carpark in west croydon CR0 1UP then it's one stop on the train to selhurst and the trains run every 5 mins.

Will probably do that....

Agree with the above - its a horrible place to park as its all narrow streets and the traffic for night games there is horrendous too.

Been a few times and we have not had any problems with parking, even in a van, as long as you are prepaired to walk more than 100 yards :ayatollah:
