are you tipping cornelius to become a star

Wed Nov 27, 2013 5:26 pm

He's the forgotten man at the moment having missed our games through injuries people and wrote him off.
I believe he is going to become one of best strikers to ever play for cardiff city if we can keep hold of him.

He has clear star quality and is the complete striker that posseses all the key attributes.
I give it 12 games before pundits are raving about him and he scores a wonder goal on MOTD

You never know really, looks decent but I can see him having a poor first season, then next year I think he'll do well. Bit like Giroud at Arsenal.

He looks the part, a big lad and ideal for a centre forward. He has age on his side and comes with good background.

So has he lived up to that in his short time he has been seen. The answer is no.

Excuses are that he was niot fully fit then got injured so what do you expect. Reply, some sort of evidence besides looking the part. This season I've seen more evidence from Conway than Cornelious.

So for now I will say no.

No I'm not, I hope I am wrong.

I also know some Danish fans who go to Mallorca, one is very high in Denmark and knows his football, he is rated for say Danish football or Scottish only. Lets hope they are all wrong including myself

havent seen nearly enough of him, but i have heard a few concerns from people whose opinions i respect myself, i too hope they are wrong. its a hell of a lot for us to pay otherwise.

How would that in any way be like Giroud? Giroud scored 17 goals last season which is very good for your first season.

But to answer the OP's question, I think he'll be a good striker with us eventually. Not expecting too much in his first season but I think he'll kick on once he has settled.

It was a big price mind!

Hopefully it goes well he certainly isn't affraid to have a go, thats a sign of confidence and confidence usually comes from knowing your own ability

Im going to stick my neck out and say yes.

When he came on against Man U, I noticed 3 things.

The first was, we were defending a corner as soon as he came on and he headed the ball out, it was a decent header. Weve seen from pre-season when he scored a great header first hand what he's capable of if he gets that big nut on a ball.

The second was, for Kims goal he made a great run to the near post and completely lost his man. The ball was over his head but I would definitely credit his run with dragging the defenders to allow the smallest man on the field in Kim to nod home the equaliser. With Whitts's delivery and his clever running its only a matter of time before he nods one in.

The third thing i noticed was at 2-2 and he got the ball and ran from midfield at the defence. He had the confidence to shoot from outside the box, the shot was weak, ok, but weve seen from various youtube clips that the boy can hit them, right or left peg.

His ariel dual success was rediculously high for a centre forward in Denmark, defenders are going to hate playing against him.

He's got a heavy price tag round his neck and he's been unlucky with injuries but i genuinely believe theres a helluva lot more to come from this boy and I believe we will see it this season if he stays fit.

Can't really tell at the moment due to his lack of game time, but i just got a feeling that he is going to be the real deal, if not it's a lot of money wasted.

He's big,he's quick and if he can hit the back of the net then he'll be a star.

I hope so, I really hope so, he is certainly the type of striker we need.

My gut instinct says no on the little ive seen but then it was the same for Super Kev who I thought was awful in the first pre-season game i ever seen of him

I think if he had continued that excellent run at the pace he was going he would have drawn a penalty out of Ferdinand. Inexperience or perhaps his name in lights saw him fire a weak shot which didn't trouble the keeper. I think there is a lot more to come, but am not going to judge him much on this season as he has missed a lot and won't be fully match fit until Christmas or beyond as he is not likely to get many full games between now and then;.

Let's remember he's only 20. Might not reach the level of Laudrup, but he'll make it. A bit of match fitness and he'll be an important future for us
