I got my ticket first thing this morning at the stadium.
I asked about the restricted view and was told they haven't got near to selling those yet.
Apparently there are some pillars, wide ones, plus the pitch of the roof means you can't see the goals.
The 'severely restricted view' is down the slope on the down so you can just about see the pitch, but nothing else. Somebody has likened it to watching it through a letter box if everybody in front stands up

You're not serious? Anfield is an old stadium so perhaps there's a few gurders which could slightly block your view like Hillsborough?

We used to have restricted views at Ninian Park, yet some people wish we were still playing there!

Back 2 rows at anfield road end are same level as each other. when everyone sits down you can see upto the crossbar at the kop end, when everyone stands up you can see nothing I have been on them before (severley restricted is literally no view at all). These will be the very last lot to go, prob when the criteria drops to 2 matches this season or less.
Slightly resticted view tends to be in blocks 122 +123 as it has large pillars holding up the upper tier, if you get in one of these seats your view of the goals nearest to you are blocked, if your unlucky enough the roof will also impead the view of the opposite goal.

Will fans actually sit in their allocated seats?
Will this be policed?

fans on the back rows will stand in the isles to get a view and stewards will try to move them, this wont happen though. Few years ago when we went there fans were at ends of rows etc, anywhere to get a view.

When we played them a few ago in the league cup I had tickets in the back row Really should not sell these because if you stay in your allocated spot you will only see the game if everyone sits down and we know that won't happen . You have to move to get a view
