Was down at the club yesterday for work and the ticket office said that ticket sales were slow for the game
Do you know how many have been sold Carl?

until 9am this morning you could only buy then if you had done 8 aways last year. so were bound to be slow, be shocked if the club do not sell at least a thousand today

It seems to me like the club have potentially messed things up by taking so long to sort Liverpool tickets out. I have no issue that those who have done the most games get the first pick on tickets, but why a week on each criteria? I have three aways so far this season and want three Liverpool tickets for me and my sons. Fair enough I have to wait my turn, but why another week of uncertainty?
Arsenal is the next away game on sale and its just over a month away which is about the time that tickets first go on sale. Therefore, it is reasonable to assume that the first Arsenal tickets could go on sale before everyone has had their chance to buy Liverpool tickets. Starting criteria could easily be 6 from this season for Arsenal, probably dropping to 4 in the next phase. Its hypothetical, but what happens if Liverpool sells out this week to those who already have 4 aways this season? There is no way that anyone else could then qualify for Arsenal as there are no more away games available to get to the criteria. I'm concerned that the club will then take a reduced allocation for Arsenal on New Years Day because they don't want to risk not selling them, which potentially makes it even harder for people who want to go to.
Obviously, I'm asking because I want to go to both games. Hopefully, there will be some Liverpool left over for 3rd phase and that the club will wait to put Arsenal on sale until after that.
