They say the team at the bottom of the league on Christmas Day almost never stay up, I think West Brom are the only team to do it in the Premier League era. Table at the moment, with total points so far:
Cardiff 13
Norwich 11
West Ham 10
------------------
Fulham 10
Crystal Palace 7
Sunderland 7
I think West Ham and Sunderland's form will improve, and Palace could be rejuvenated by Pulis. Could we be bottom on Christmas Day? Here's what I reckon from the five leading up to December 25th:
Arsenal (H) Lose
Stoke (A) Win
Palace (A) Draw
West Brom (H) Draw
Liverpool (A) Lose
5 points, taking us up to 18.
And here's the fixtures of the bottom five:
Sunderland
Villa (A)
Chelsea (H)
Tottenham (H)
West Ham (A)
Norwich (H)
Palace
Norwich (A)
West Ham (H)
Cardiff (H)
Chelsea (A)
Newcastle (H)
Fulham
West Ham (A)
Tottenham (H)
Aston Villa (H)
Everton (A)
Man City (H)
West Ham
Fulham (H)
Crystal Palace (A)
Liverpool (A)
Sunderland (H)
Man Utd (A)
Norwich
Crystal Palace (H)
Liverpool (A)
West Brom (A)
Swansea (H)
Sunderland (A)
Wouldn't bet against West Ham walking away with nine points mind, looking at those fixtures.

I also said 5 points but possibly 7-9 if we perform well
I think looking at the fixtures we could well be in bottom 3 if we fail to take at least 5 points from the next five games 7-9 and we should be out of there still but football is a strange game so U never know I think if we adopt the same attacking stance against stoke and palace and arsenal we could well take 6/9 points in this games

looking at the others they have some tough games to...but i don't care what they do we need to get points on the board that's for sure, 4 points from the last 3 games in November think its pretty good considering we had Man utd to play, if we can get anything from Arsenal then i think it will push us on..hardest game of the season by far, as they are in top form

we need to make up ground because we are going to lose 6 points in the manchester double and away to arsenal boxing day we will prob play well and end up getting pipped.
thats potentially 9 points we lose ground on but id expect us to lose around 3/points cushion on the bottom 3

We have had some cracking results but we really need to start winning more games, still far to close for comfort and I guess that is to be expected. but after Arsenal they are games we will go into looking to win and this is where Malky will earn his money.

what does this even mean? first of all we arent playing arsenal on boxing day. Secondly how is losing away to City, United and Arsenal "losing ground"?

I believe Hull will be down there come xmas

I can see hull losing their next three games. Liverpool (h), arsenal (a), Swansea (a)

Yes I have to agree , Hull will fall into our group before too long . We may need some players in Jan. window so the Tan haters need to be kept under wraps for a few months

Hull are only 1 point ahead of us, some people seem to think they are on fire.

I'm confident for the Xmas period. Hull have Liverpool this weekend, we could well be above them come Sunday. Also a lot of the teams down the bottom are playing each other so they'll be taking points off each other. If we don't drop too many points that'll work well for us.
Also looking at Fulhams next few games, hey won't get another 4 points before Chrstmas

As I've said before, the home games we have had to date (plus next Saturday) have all been against teams in the top half.
Hull have had ALL of their home games to date against teams in the bottom half.
We have a far better chance of getting the home points in the 2nd half of the season.
Roll on next season IN THE PREM

West Ham have no strikers and it is hurting them bad so I can't see them getting many points.
We need at least two wins from the 3 games after Arsenal.

Have you seen our fixtures in January,West Ham home, the 2 Manchesters & Arsenal away squeaky bum time

I wouldn't expect nothing less than a win v WBA.
Very good attacking on times but should win.
