If you haven't watched the Sky Sports coverage of the game yesterday its really worth doing so, if only to listen to Hoddle and Souness' post match analysis.
Hoddle couldnt heap enough praise on Campbell, I knew he played well on the day but having rewatched the game now and listening to Hoddles points of view on on Campbell's performance im very excited to see if he can maintain the levels we saw him play at yesterday. Hoddle was particularly impressed with his movement off the ball, but said that he wasnt getting enough service after making those said runs.
He said if he had Rooney playing off him he could be a potential striker for England at Brazil.
I'll be sure to keep a closer eye on him myself next Saturday against Arsenal.
I think we've been fairly patient with him this season, hopefully he is going to start repaying that patience in the forthcoming games.

I have to agree with them gav hes looking real sharpe atm, keeping him off the injury list is the key

I think if he'd had a little more composure in a couple of other games he may well have 6 or 7 goals already, especially as a touch of composure would have meant he'd have never been dropped.

Yes but he should have celebrated his goal yesterdat

He hasn't really had any quality service before yesterday and the other 2 goals he scored were headers from corners, where you'd expect him to struggle against top quality centre backs, especially when you come up against the likes of Man City!
If we can maintain a level of possession and composure against the bigger clubs, which we've rarely showed before yesterday and we can provide him with some more regular quality service, then there's no reason why he can't go on and get a dozen or so goals this season for us!

Gavin, I will be honest until yesterday I never rated him as a Premier League player, hopefully Campbell continues that type of performance

Only need to keep your eyes on him in a game to see him always making runs over the left side of the pitch or the right side, if our midfield were quick to play a ball through he would have at least 1-5 chances.
Think Cowie picked one of his runs up in the first half early on.

I think Sky went a little OTT but yes he has the potential and wouldnt rule him out of brazil but he needs to get amoungst the goals and score against teams other than the Manchesters lol

campbells a good player he just need the service and he will score goals.... this season so far everyone knows we have lacked in the final third!
i think malkys plan all along was to partner campbell and cornelius together and now that hes fit i think we will see the best of campbell because to me he isnt a lone striker.

hoddle also said people with disabilitys have obviously done something wrong in a past life.
but i think he is right...
about campbell that is, not the disabled

Think he's a quality striker who's runs are not always picked up quick enough by our midfielders. Left the M.U.defence for dead on Sunday, and with England not exactly flushed with quality strikers at the minute, if he can keep things going, who knows what he may achieve.

If he'd had score against Spurs when he nearly got it and chip against Man U then we would be raving about him right now. His goal on Saturday was class... Is that SKY analysis on youtube anywhere?

oozed quality from day one..been asked to run around like a headless chicken. for some reason the manager had us playing football Sunday instead of the normal all 11 in our own area kicking for touch.he wasnt the only one that was allowed to look far better than what we have seen of them so far.

Think Souness hit it on the head when he said "it will be interesting to see if he can maintain the same level against a team closer to the bottom"
Frazier was always gonna play well against UTD, he needs to continue that play if he does want to be appealing to the England coaches.
On a plus note with Gary Nev singing praises of Mutch,Frazier and our CBs anything could be possible.

I didn't think of taping the game because I was at the game but did watch the highlights online... The roar at the end when Kim scored and again at the final whistle was sensational. It felt like a win.
Is there a link for us to watch the full game or extended highlights?

Even as just a class Championship player Campbell was worth £2mill, which is what I rated him as .
