whats the ruling these days? the ref saw the incident because he stopped play to talk to the two of them, i guess the first thing to wait for is the refs report.

Nothing yet, Dermot Gallagher was saying on Sky sports this morning that he may get a call from the Premier League. I think there was a new rule brought in to allow retrospective action even if the ref had seen the incident. We will be lucky if he gets away with it to be honest, but mop head deserves it he is constantly leading with his elbow and head and gets away with it.

Totally agree.
Same goes for Rooney though - literally booted Mutch. Violence. Medel done a little slap (not that I seen it from mid Ninian stand). If Medel gets banned then surely Rooney will too. I know Rooney got booked for it but it was violence - straight red would of been the call from any other ref in this league.

Didn't realise it but Swarbrick is also a Lacashire lad, not that I am accusing him of bias I am just saying.....

I looked at it a few times on motd last night and you see fellaini elbow him first then medel reacts and slaps him but in fall fairness it looks like he hits his shoulder not his face.
I was 4 rows up in 116 and rooney should of been sent of plain and simple boot exactly like he did playing for england when he got sent off

Surely if th fa look at it again then they will see fellaini elbowing medel? So both will have to be penalised?

Both issues were dealt with in the submitted report by the ref.
Retrospective action can only be taken if the ref hasn't noticed surely?

I think Medel should be given a Medal for outstanding slapping of the useless lanky bitch-mop hairball.

Fellaini looks like a Sneed from Dr Seus's The Lorax.
