I've bought my son an 'Xbox One' for Christmas and I need a bit of advice from the more technically minded people around here on its setup.
I'm happy with the basic setup, I noticed you can connect your set top box directly to the xbox to have a tv guide straight from the xbox dashboard, this is my problem, I have a freesat box in his bedroom now but it has no HDMI output to connect to the console (its scart only)
Is my only option to upgrade the set top box to one with a hdmi output or is there some sort of scart to hdmi cable available??
I want to have all the bits I need ready for xmas day, thanks in advance.

It's good to plug it in through the Xbox. But you'd need to have the Xbox and the freesat box switched on to watch it.
Depends how you feel about energy conservation.
I've got and Xbox One. Excellent piece of hardware.
