Utd Fans Today

Just to put a question out there..????

Was it just me or were the utd fans the best we've had at CCS this year??

Just thought they made a good atmosphere today and didn't stop singing for their team..?

The best away supporters Ive seen at our new stadium for singing, many hate United, their fans who travel away Ive heard have always been very passionate fans.

Best by far. Didn't stop singing, wide variety of songsand very few generic songs. Their away support is v different to the image some might have of them.

Also interesting how few of them wear colours. V different to Newcastle!

'Men in black' ;)

Easily the loudest.

Aye, suppose their men in black lot started it and the rest just keep the tradition going. Looks smarter than replica kits too!

Surprised to read lots of comments online about Uniteds support"out singing"the home fans

They're the biggest supported club in the world on the road and we won't be the first or last club to witness their relentless support. They've had an ultra style away support for decades. Pete Boyle has written songs for matchdays for them just as long. A vast reportoire!

Their hardcore away support is far removed from the prawn sandwich brigade at Old Trafford. Strangely enough I didn't think either set of fans were on top form today.

is it right that man utds away support rarely even go to Old Trafford? As much as you might not like their success and the plastics that infest south wales, there away support and variety and differing songs are very good.

Easily the loudest fans at CCS this season.

Re: Utd Fans Today

They still shut the f**k both times we scored I honestly believe the fact our fans continued to back our players after their first goal was the reason we got back into that game.
Our players have a never say die attitude and MALKY is an immense manerger anyone calling for him to go is a complete and utter fool who knows nothing about football.

Lets be honest St Winifred's girls school choir could give Cardiff a vocal kicking since the move to CCS. On a side note there were three "Cardiff" fans on the train sat by me last night that seemed to know much more than just the odd Man U ditty one of which about Busby went on longer than a donkeys cock.

I barely heard them but then I was the complete opposite corner to them so the stadium acoustics must not have helped!

Yes they go home and away !

United support away has been the business since the 70's always tops

I actually enjoyed watching them, they looked and sounded class. From the Canton I spotted virtually no red in there, and they looked like they were making a lot noise than could be heard from the Canton.

Again it Briggs up the point of the acoustics in our ground, surely there's something that can be changed.

The few United I know who were there yesterday mostly do the aways and Europe now, they still got season tickets but sell the home games on, these chaps have been going 40 years mind and have been everywhere.. one of the cockneys I met yesterday has seen United play on 5 different continents.

I thought they were nothing special, especially when they had the lead for most of the game.

Also, ive been to Old Trafford, prob one of the worst atmospheres ive been too. It was so quite, u could hear a needle drop. Id say the noise at the CCS is easily twice louder.

I've been to Old Trafford and I must say its dreadful. I've been to 2 champions league games and it was silent both times. Even the goal celebrations are tame

Apart from a "United" chat which we replied to by chanting "shit" which shut them up, I didn't hear them at all. I was very disappointed with their support but maybe that was because I was opposite in the Canton singing non stop?

They were easily the loudest away fans this season and their range of songs is impressive. What impressed me the most though is the way they keep their songs going for ages when most fans including ours sing one chorus then it fades away.
Have to agree with the guys moaning about the acoustics in the stadium. From 117 yesterday it was obvious that the Canton fans were having a good time but rarely does the sound travel as far as us.

They were the loudest, but I wasn't really impressed. We've had a lot better at our stadium.

Didn't go yesterday so can't judge (my nob of a manager has me working every weekend) but as much as I hate Leeds, their fans were impressive at the CCS. But we may not see Leeds again. :laughing6:
