all hail don cowie

Once again prefered on the right to more attacking options, but a superb display from the scot! Never lets the side down :ayatollah:

Thought he was excellent today, good on the ball and tucked inside when needed.

his final ball stinks, couldn't score in a brothel

I felt he played well. He's not a stand out player and doesn't give us the edge we need to be great.

but he does a good job of making us look average which is better than looking shite

Someone with common sense at last! Not a fashionable player but having a better impact at this level than i thought he would, worked well down the right today

I agree thought he did well, nothing special but reliable. He would not get in my team as for me we need more pace on the wing, I think Noone is a great sub option and today proved the case. Against tired players Noone can tear into them! :ayatollah:

Very good again. Adds vital energy with mutch to the team. Every team has one like him.

Surprisingly, he looks a better player in this league than in the championship where I thought he looked mediocre

agree totally....the best eleven footballers dont always make the best team. its different sorts of players doing different jobs, been quite refreshing reading the football talk on here tonite. only the odd couldnt score in a brothel { cowie }..shits it to often {whitts } comments ..we drew with the league champions ,very much means all 14 that took part did really well

What are you laughing at? Cowie was excellent and if you're laughing at Paul's comment, you know absolutely nothing about the game! Clueless fool!!

agree - thought Don played really well today and was well worth his place - he is a manager's dream, and I'll tell you why. If you've ever played the game it isn't about beating 3 men like Ronaldo and zipping it in the top corner cos that just doesn't apply to 99.9% of players, no the hard work is chasing down a long ball he had absolutely no chance of winning, putting the defender under pressure who then heads it into touch for our throw in their half, as opposed to the defender collecting the ball and keeping possession. That one interaction in the first half in front of us in the Ninian epitomised Cowie today, and does so every match. He did show some skill, and did show a hell of lot of nous.

AGREE. so many do not see that every side has negative aspects that are crucial to results, you dont have to touch the ball to have an impact on the game,if you pressure at the right times your opponents are more likely to make mistakes, if your in the right places when your team is in possession you can draw players to you creating space for others and when not in possesssion what position you take up can dictate what passes or runs your opponents think are on....but for some its bicycle kicks, nutmegs, keep ups or your shite

One of our stand out performers yesterday, he has more than his fair share of critics and i hope a few more games like these and people will start seeing why Malky holds him in such high regard

Take a bow Mr Cowie

He had a very good game, against the champions of the league. The commentators rated him all game too, said his crosses in were excellent. He has been doing a very decent job, there is a reason he's starting

Yep,

he presses very well all over the pitch, if you watch the game at the ground, watch him not the ball for 5 mins, you see that he covers very well when we attack, he does alot off the ball that goes unnoticed. Not the best player in the world, but does his job well.

United, have fletcher/clev

liverpool have henderson,

chelsea have ramires

and man city have fernandes, and milner
