TAGINE COOKING ?

Just wanted to know if anyone uses a Tagine , and what is the best kind to buy, Just had to take one back cos it cracked when I used it. So where to buy one and what to look for . Any Info would help.

Ikea has a good one. I did have one from Lakeland but you have to get a diffuser because its a ceramic base. The one in Ikea has a metal base and ceramic lid so all good for most hobs.

They make some cracking meals! There's a spice pack that lakeland do sell though which has some really nice stuff in it.

yer I seen the one in Ikea but its £57 ,a bit more than I really want to pay But where or what Is Lakeland ?

yer I seen the one in Ikea but its £57 ,a bit more than I really want to pay But where or what Is Lakeland ?


the recommended way to stop the clay ones cracking is to boil a little milk in it slowly - not sure if it works or not... Have used a tagine for years and combining meat and fruit together is superb, but especially if you take the lid off [or if you have enough space then leave it on] and use in the oven rather than on top as that is when they tend to crack.

yer i bought one from Aldi and put olive oil in it turned the gas on ,( only small flame ) and the bloody thing cracked . Took it back and had money back.
