was 10 years off being born, the old man went, but traveled from Stockport down as a united ticket holder.

Yes I was there against my old mans orders, remember being on the Grange end Scary shit all day, watched it all kicking off in the bus station . Long haired loons and the chant of United, United !!! Police dogs off their leashes, scarves and flares . Grandstand view of the mass brawl from the safety of the Llanrumney 47 bus. I think I was mentally disturbed after it all.

United caused carnage every other Saturday . Towns were boarded up and the government were not quite sure what to do. All the other clubs started forming firms at about this time. Cardiff gave a good account of themselves. It was not a usual crowd of Cardiff City fans. Plenty of ruckers turned out for the occasion.
