" CARDIFF CITY V MANCHESTER UNITED " Sunday 24th November 4pm :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Malky Mackay’s side have already beaten the Galacticos of Manchester City against expectations in the Welsh capital.

On Sunday, it is the turn of Premier League champions Manchester United to come to town.

Malky Mackay has a clean bill of health for the visit of Manchester United to the Cardiff City Stadium on Sunday

' CARDIFF CITY '

Malky Mackay has a fully fit squad to pick from.

Andreas Cornelius is in the match day squad.

Cardiff City midfield star Aron Gunnarsson is fit for selection after suffering from exhaustion playing in the International qualifiers for Iceland.

Ben Turner looks certain to be named alongside captain Steven Caulker at the heart of defence for Sunday's Premier League clash.

Gary Medel is due back from a friendly against Brazil in Toronto on Tuesday in time to play for the Bluebirds against Manchester United on Sunday.

And Mackay says the combative South American has answered critics who said he would be a liability.

“All the hullaballoo when he came in about us bringing in a raving monster was water off a duck’s back for me,” said the City boss.

“I knew who we were signing when we agreed the deal. When it was done I couldn’t wait to get him into the car and put pen to paper on his contract next day.

“At that point people didn’t quite get what we were signing, I knew we were bringing in a top quality player into Cardiff City.

“Our job now is to keep pushing down the road to get better and better, to allow our fans to watch top, top quality players.

“His transfer fee was £9.5m well spent by our football club.”

' MANCHESTER UNITED '

Manchester United are without Michael Carrick and Phil Jones because of respective Achilles and groin problems.
The Red Devils will assess strikers Robin van Persie and Danny Welbeck, both of whom withdrew from international duty because of injuries.

Nemanja Vidic will captain Manchester United at Cardiff City Stadium after recovering from blow.
The 32-year-old has suffered no after-effects, has rested during the international break and can resume playing on Sunday in South Wales.

Man Utd: David Moyes winning players' trust - Phil Neville

Manchester United coach Phil Neville says the recent win over Arsenal shows the players are beginning to trust the methods of new manager David Moyes.
Moyes replaced Sir Alex Ferguson in July before United had their worst start to a league season in 24 years.
"Defeat by West Brom was a real wake-up call for the players and manager," Neville told the BBC's Football Focus.
"The players are beginning to trust the manager and his philosophy and I think you saw that against Arsenal."

That alone is an exciting statement and gentle reminder for me, it's almost 40 years since we played them and that was 2nd tier.
We are now just about to play one of the biggest clubs in the World, the Premiership champions and there's still more talk about Tan & the Rebrand, Malky & the uncertainty etc
How sad is that?
We're playing Man Utd, at home in the Premiership, no lose situation for us again just like Man City. No expectancy, huge underdogs so hopefully huge support for the team & anything is possible? AGAIN!!! :ayatollah:
