best ever season folowing cardiff

what was your best season following Cardiff,for me it was 75 76 season in old third div.just started work and went everywere, 83 was good.and who could forget 93,eddie may and rickywright, thenlast season could have been the best .what was yours .

Every season has memories,strangely last year should have been the best,but for different circumstances it was the worst

I don't have a lot to choose from, only since 2005/06. But my favourite was 2011/12. Malky's first season, breath of fresh air after DJ. We were still blue, and a Wembley appearance to top it off. The whole club just felt a lot better and more positive that year

My best season was 76/77 what a great year alston and evans best front 2 in that div loved it on pritchards tours ie transit van brill

92-93 season, Scunthorpe away was the icing on the cake.

Also 93 was the year my daughter was born so topped off a great year.

Same as you aberfan blue ,Alston ooh ooh ,was that the palace away year when we filled the big open terrace and shut up big mal

92-93 just a teenager then but loved it .

2007/08 WITHOUT A DOUBT----I will never forget chasetown and hereford away, beating wolves in the 5th round, sheading a tear at boro as many city boys did that day realising we would be at wembley, beating barnsley then only 90 minutes away from achieving what the great side of 1927 did----44 years following the city, best year by a long way

So many memories from mid to late 70s on away trips,started supporting city when i was 8 years old 1967.But my fav trip of all time was standard liege cup winners cup,what a mad few days

the 1982/83 season was the best for me . did every away game that season bar 2 and to win promotion after being relegated the season before was special . losing the last game against luton our very last home game in the 1981/82 season hurt

Mozzer, 82/83 Season my second best ever season, the beginning of the Casual/Trendy world and City fans going away on the trains and of course Promotion

75/76 was my best ever. Our family moved to Cardiff in the middle of the season, I was working in Sharpe & Fisher in the West Dock, living at home, and had more money than I knew what to do with. After several years struggling at the wrong end of division two, then relegation, a promotion season was just what we needed. The highlights were many, but the 35k, (and the rest!), crowd for the Hereford game took some beating. Clinching promotion at Bury was the icing on the cake. Happy days!

as for me i was very good at tennis and represented south glam all over the place at the time so for me to wear fila/taccini stuff was natural . Noticed loads of people wearing those blue and white benetton tops that season with blue dungereens .

i went to charlton the very first game of the 1984 season on the train and couldn't believe the numbers wearing pringle jumpers / kicker shoes etc . a youth culture certainly took off for sure in 1983/84

1968 - The cup winners cup run to the semi final, and the Alston / Tony Evans era was good fun too...mid 70s ?

80/81 was good remember away to leicester in the fa cup on the special train. we pulled into leicester station a copper said no singing boys ,next thing an almight CARDIFF BOYS WE ARE HERE rang out under this huge domed roof awesome.
