Gary Medels position

Was watching the England v Chile match last night , Gary medel was quality as a central defender . He Had Rooney in his pocket all match , made himself available and pretty much did what he does for city just from the central defence position .

Maybe we should utilise him there next to Caulker instead of the defensive midfield position , not that turner has done much wrong but his long balls invite pressure on us , with medel sat there passing his way out of defence the dynamic of our whole team could change .
That would then free up a apace in the team for a playmaker like kimbo to come back in !

Any thoughts ?

I can see your point as every attacking move they made came form Gary's passes out of defence. However, I can't ever see Malky playing a 5 foot 7 centre half against the likes of Crouch, Carroll etc. and to be honest Turner deserves his place in the team at present.
