Bluebirds Unite

Wed Nov 13, 2013 3:38 pm

Its got to a stage now its all about Bluebirds unite and not about Cardiff City. On merchandise there is nothing about Cardiff City on there. That is strange as they can have our name and Bluebirds unite on tops being sold. It sems some are now more into self image, and fans are now being turned off in droves.

A great idea but it is more about personalities than the objective.

The sad thing is marches etc will not make an impact. The sit in after the jacks game was a good idea but needed a lot more bodies than was there.

But the truth is the club will not be back tracking on this red shit as our future has been decided and red it is, But we as fans can do our bit to protect our identity by not wearing the red and keeping tbe ground blue is the way to piss Tan off. That way its a visual not even Tan and Lim can suppress.

Agreed.

I don't know how or why, I just have a feeling they will do more harm than good. :(

Re: Bluebirds Unite

Nuc there is a lot of BIG egos at the helm with Bluebirds Unite, as you said nothing about Cardiff City fc on anything they sell :o you are spot on Nuc it's all about self image for them. I will just stick to wearing my Blue tops home and away :ayatollah:

Re: Bluebirds Unite

Wed Nov 13, 2013 5:25 pm

they might have x thousand signatures, but the protest at the end of the Swansea game spoke volumes.they are now a very close 2nd to Tan himself in being out of step with the large majority of fans.
Its not all about our colours anymore. and thats a real shame.

Totally agree Nukes (thats twice ive said that in the past 6 months now and its getting weird ).
The way BU belittle the fans they needed to join them meant it was mission impossible for them.
Never liked the groups attitude and its no surprise Tan ignores them, which is silly as its the complete opposite they needed.

The "I don't need to sell my soul" slogan and merchandise was pretty much the nail in the coffin for a ;lot of people I've spoke with.
Id rather just wear my own blue top with City's real badge on it.

Re: Bluebirds Unite

Wed Nov 13, 2013 6:19 pm

However much people belittle BU one thing no one can deny and that is they are the only group that has made a serious stand for the blue.

Re: Bluebirds Unite

Top post! Hugely agree.

Re: Bluebirds Unite

Wed Nov 13, 2013 6:24 pm

IMO BU lost its credibility a while ago. Just an ego thing for those involved now.

Example : Lets have a sit in after the match, if we dont tell too many people. we will have our pics on the tele.

Re: Bluebirds Unite

Wed Nov 13, 2013 6:31 pm

Nukes, I follow and support Cardiff City, to me the name CARDIFF CITY is everything, no other name but that and thats what needs to be on everything we see, support and wear  then comes our identity BLUE & BLUEBIRDS, thats it for me end off   :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Turning up at games wearing BLUE is in my opinion like u say Nukes and Ive always believed and maintained is the best and biggest protest of all and its increasing match by match. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

i agree that ccfc should be on the clobber.100pc with that unless it,s a copyright issue.i take my hat of to bu.the only ones with a pair big enough to have a go.don,t forget kcb didn,t get out the traps due to (alleged :laughing6: )harrasment.whatever bu achieve thay have stopped the fear factor concerning protesting.whilst i like the tee shirts with i didnt have to sell my soul -i can understand some fans who are very reluctant reds not liking it.one more thought, very soon it wouldnt surprise me if vinny t goes the whole hog and changes the name of the club to dragons or something equally daft.who will be around to galvanise support if bu fold?bu will be needed by the vast majority of fans very soon imo.the more extrme tans behavior the more people will see that bu represent the only organised opposition to the mad emperor

I don't follow that bluebirds unite shit, groups like this just fry me, we'll be blue when we are blue just get on with it. Not many like the red but there's fucall that can be done so pointless wasting time cryin about it.

well it should be on then annis.totally agree .blue wearing is VERY effective in showing vt that his red is going down like a lead balloon.blue tikka tape is a option .tbh annis imo this well past just a blue debate now.it would be great if tan saw the error of his ways and did the right thing.return to blue with the bluebird badge .wearing red away a lot would be a fair enough comprimise imo.i very much doubt it will happen though.the name will be next.there needs to a organisation ready to fight this.atm bu are.

Re: Bluebirds Unite

Wed Nov 13, 2013 6:59 pm

I agree wearing blue at games is important but I also respect BU for having the cojones to stand up to Tan and show that not everyone meekly accepted the rebrand and bent over.

Re: Bluebirds Unite

Wed Nov 13, 2013 7:13 pm

Top top post chief and so very true to every word you have said. I think BU has lost it's true purpose IMO and that's a damn shame as this group started off so well but I feel they have lost their way a bit especially with the merchandise. "I don't need to sell my soul" on t-shirts lost it for me and of course there is no Cardiff City on anything so I think it's become more of a business than what it originally set out to do.

Re: Bluebirds Unite

As you all know I hate the red with a passion everything about it. But it was vincent Tans plan from the very start with his best buddy (who actually wants the red not Tan) which will soon become reality when the club is floated.Without the red the club will not be floated.
But I can see very tough times ahead, as this is nothing to what is coming and the fans need to turn on there own. We are Cardiff City the Bluebirds and anyone that cares even slightly about our history will end up heart broken. And it will be left to us the fans to unite and to remind the world who we are.
I stated this when the rebrand first happened. Bluebirds Unite is a fantastic idea and they have done well but they now need to adapt or die a slow death. They need to make this about Cardiff City the Bluebirds not about Bluebirds unite.

Tough times ahead, nothing to what's coming.Could you elaborate please nuc.

Re: Bluebirds Unite

Great post and this was something I said at the very first meeting when the news was given to us. The man is a loose cannon and those close to him can't even second guess him, I hear he is so stubborn he really will cut his own nose off to spite his face and he will do whatever it takes to prevent what he's see's as being trumped.

My view from the start was to thank him for the investment, and then turn up to every game wearing blue, not as a protest, just to show it means a lot to us and to show the sacrifice it was giving up the blue, but for a price worth paying in the majority's eyes.

All the calls for not buying season tickets, not buying programmes, not buying food and drink etc. would just hit the finances of the club, yes his club, his finances but that's how it works and we would be hurting our own club's chances as I seen it, and still do.

I don't think he got into this for the money, more a case for massaging his ego, and prestige, how much more money does the man need? it's all about being seen as successful and having the "Midas touch" well I think now he realises there's no business like football business, let alone show business.

Well let's allow him the prestige of making us a top club, let's allow him to make money, but by taking the simple action of supporting the team fully but not singing songs about red, or his name and wearing blue, it will have an affect.

We don't need to drive him out, he'll go of his own accord if he can't get his own way totally, and I think that is finally starting to hit home to him, he can't afford to fail, and not in monetary terms, more in getting his own way fully.

It could all have been so different, it wasn't and it is what it is, so make the most of it before the good times pass you by. :old:

Tan will run the show but the guy buying In is a real fruitcake. And this guy loves the red and wants a totally red club and he would not invest if it wasn't. There is not a cat in hells chance of going back to blue at the moment unless some extremely rich City fan buys them out. And that aint gonna happen chief
