Grimsby fans I guess, by the fact the Scunthorpe fans are looking a bit unimpressed.

God, i hope it doesn't catch on - can you imagine City's finest invading the pitch in thongs. :o

Daventry took 700 - that's impressive for a team I've never heard of! Always impressed by some of the smaller clubs - good followings for Wigan and Bournemouth on long trips. Football alive and kicking below the Prem circus.

Some of the lower clubs away support, puts some clubs in the higher divisions to shame.

You're right there, and am a little embarrassed with our turnout at Braintree, which is correct, but the fa cup is not like it was when we were kids AA, I remember as a kid getting up on a Saturday morning, and what a great day the coverage was on tv, from its a knockout, to cameras on the coaches, it went on for hours before the kick off.
It all stems to manure many years later imo, when the FA let them opt out the one season, and hasn't been the same since, although they could easily rectify this problem, by giving the winners an automatic spot in the champions league, and whoever finishes 4th in the premiership gets an Europa league slot instead.
At least it would hopefully stop the once finest cup competition in the world from being ridiculed with premiership managers playing their second xi, but thats not going to happen
I was thinking of giving the Braintree replay a miss next week as the tickets haven't been reduced but still ended up getting one, but I doubt there'll be a lot more than 2000 there to watch a weakened side :(

The FA CUP has sadly been destroyed, your right it was so special now, but its lost all its gloss and Clubs/Football in general need to sort this out.

Lots of my best memories have been watching City in FA Cup. Leeds obviously and 2008 cup run but I loved some of the less glamorous trips - Yeovil and Reading in 90s for example. Loved going to Highbury a few years ago too.
