Tom Ince

Tue Nov 12, 2013 9:18 am

6 months is a long time in football.

Does anyone think we may go back in for him in Jan? for starters, he is now worth no more than 3/4m due to his contract running down soon. I think Liverpool have now moved onto a level where they wont be wanting someone like Ince anymore.

He stated that coming to Cardiff wasnt the best move for him at the time, not sure if anything has changed, but we need someone of his ilk, and if he would be willing to change his mind i think we should go for him :ayatollah:

Yeh he needs to move on from Blackpool, is he really ready and good enough to hit the ground running for us in the prem tho?

If he's better than we got then I would say so. Also didn't FC refuse us once?

Would prefer that Montero chap, if his agent reduces his demands!

He would be ideal for that bit of creativity we're lacking. He can play out wide(him and Theo would be a dream team on the right), in the hole(Gunnars played there at Villa and for me the jury is still out on him at this level)..

I've been given a few names for January. Ince isn't one of them though, but you never know. Sterling would be decent loan too if we get in there before the peasants

It wouldnt surpise me if we do and the fans would soon forget if he was producing the good.

I dont see Ince changing his mind though esepcially when he is 6 months from a free transfer and a huge signing on fee from someone.

He could just as easily get that big signing on fee from us though!

Personally, I hope we go for better that him, or somebody as well as him!

Id think he would get a much bigger signign on fee on a free as the club wont be paying the 8m we were in the summer or the 3/4 million we would pay in Jan.

I think there will be no shortage of takers as his transfer value is plummeting by the week.Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if there was at least half a dozen clubs interested in jan with a price tag of maybe 1m.Then a contract war which wouldn't interest us.

^this. One is certain is that Malky can not afford to be messing around or be messed around in Jan, deals need to be concluded early and then they can concentrate on survival.
