Mon Nov 11, 2013 6:44 pm

But hates the style of his football ? For me its boring and on an entertainment level its like watching paint dry. But with strengthening the squad in January's will that change ? We aint in the bottom three so he needs more time but by fook its hard work. But the song is catchy I love it  :o

Love the song, can understand the tactics against the top6/8 but would like to see more positivity against others :malky:

Malky is being used by the fans as support for him winds tan up a treat.

If our owner wasn't such a basket case we would all be asking for malkys head ;)

Malky the way he interacts with the fans is the sort of manager City fans love. But at the moment his style is awful and even more frustrating when Noone is chomping at the bit. But im not in the Malky out camp just yet.

I wouldn't hold me breathe to see it change after January tbh malkys played this way for 2 seasons now and has had atleast 3 transfer windows to get players to change his system but it just seems he is adamant to keep playing the same defensive football but aslong as hes the manager I will fully back him even if the football puts me in and out of sleep

I don't think fans would be calling for his head yet, but many more would agree time is running out on his reign

in hindsight we pissed the league last year but treated every game as if it was Man U. This obviously is Malky's M.O.

I am firmly in the Malky must not be sacked camp as this is his squad and only his style will keep us up. I won't lose a wink of sleep if he goes early off season though.

Keep up this no threat except for set pieces football and I firmly believe we will be in bottom 3 before end of the Jan window.

Wont lose any sleep if we change him I firmly believe as Baz said if it werent for the fact hes being used as a political pawn agaibst the evil Mr.Tan more people would be vocal about just how mind numbingly boring his footbapl is.

Your wrong there because we employ recruitment staff to watch the paint dry ;)

Im watching paint dry at the moment as it goes.

Just Walnut and Polished Pebble. Leaning towards Just Walnut its more neutral.

Its also more entertaining than the football this season.

That's not true at all. There's only a handful of fans who want Malky gone.

The song shows how hypocritical some of our fans are.

Some of you are incredible. Let's copy Crystal Palace's approach of playing open, exciting, attacking football against superior opposition. It's clearly working for them after all...oh no wait a second!

Nobody is saying that

We could just venture out our own half against teams around us in the league

Re: Who likes the new Makky song ?

i really do believe this type of football is going to keep us up. Its not great to watch, but we will get enough wins playing this way to keep us there imo.

A winger in January (that he actually plays) might make all the difference, as might Cornelius being in the side and playing well.

Its still early days people need to realise. We are 2 points ahead of the drop zone, we have played decent football in patches, i thought we controlled the ball superbly against Villa in the first half for example, really frustrated them, the problem was there is zero end product, but its something that can be rectified.

Here he comes Comical Tonteg, still trying to defend the approach against Newcastle, Villa and Norwich.

I dont see anyone saying we should go all out attack, attack, attack but a balance needs to be found as playing for a nil-nil every game is clearly not going to keep us up.

Their keeper didnt have a save to make last Saturday thats absolutely shocking. In fact, the Caulker set piece aside against the jacks I dont think the opposition keeper has had a save to make the last 3 games and they were against Villa, Swansea and Norwich. 3 teams in our mini league.

i can think of one from Mutch v Norwich. but zero apart from that, not "proper" saves anyway.

It is a bit shocking really when you think about it

Paul the nearest we come to scoring last week was an own goal from their centre back in the first half.

Villa are not Real Madrid they are not going to punish us every time we crosss the half way line.

They hadnt scored for nearly 500 minutes ffs to go there and give them so much respect was ridiculous.

Re: Who likes the new Makky song ?

no i agree totally, its frustrating that we cant seem to "have a go" at these sides. Villa was by no means the "easy three points" some on here have suggested, but looking at how the game panned out, pretty much every side in the division have individuals who can do something special like Bakuna did, if that happens then we are basically screwed because we struggle to score goals.

Its not difficult to see where our problems are.

We have failed to score in 5 of the 11 games and only scored 1 goal in 3 of the 11 games.

So in only 3 of the 11 games weve scored 2+.

Those arguing for keeping it so negative will be surprised to learn weve only kept 3 clean sheets v Swansea, Everton and Norwich and lets be honest our goal led a very charmed life against Everton and Norwich.

Can we continue being so negative and pick up the points required? Personally I dont think so. I think weve been fortunate to get away with a few of points ie: Everton, Norwich, all 3 against City whereas im struggling to think of any games whereby we deserved more points than we actually got.

Comical Tonteg?

The same approach used against Newcastle, Villa and Norwich allowed us to beat Man City and beat Fulham, where we controlled the majority of the game. We were clear and deserved winners against Swansea and we were also the better team against Villa for 78 minutes until they scored their world class free kick. Villa are a team who have already beaten Man City and Arsenal this season, I know they hadn't scored for a while before playing us but Benteke was injured for a while and has only recently returned for Villa.

Malky sets us up away from home to get men behind the ball, be difficult to break down and frustrate the opposition. Against Villa, we controlled the majority of the game and although we didn't have many opportunities, neither did Villa until their free kick. I don't understand how you can complain about the way Malky sets us up away from home or how you can complain about our performance, which despite the result was decent at Villa I thought. We have only been in the Premiership for 11 games. As soon as we conceded at Villa, Malky threw Maynard on and went 4-4-2, resulting in us losing our shape and failing to keep possession as well. Villa then capitalised by scoring their second.

Obviously I would like to see us attack and have more shots at goal at home, and I'm sure we will when we play the lesser teams at home after we get Man Utd and Arsenal out of the way. But aside from Swansea, Newcastle has been our "easiest" home game so far and they recently beat Chelsea! In fact, when Man Utd and Arsenal are out of the way, that will mean 5 of our first 7 home games have been against teams who finished in the top 6 last season! If Malky sets us up the same way at home to Crystal Palace, I will criticise him. But I certainly won't knock Malky for trying to make us organised, workman like and difficult to beat away from home in this division, however negative and boring that seems.
