Young Bluebird Joe to gain game time with Wanderers

We can confirm that City striker Joe Mason has finalised an emergency loan switch to Bolton Wanderers. He will remain with the Trotters until January 5th, 2014.

Twenty-two year-old Joe will have the opportunity of playing in as many as nine SkyBet Championship fixtures, prior to returning to the Welsh Capital in the New Year.

Joe will link up with fellow loanee Bluebirds Kevin McNaughton at the Reebok Stadium, the Scottish defender having feature in six Bolton games to date - a time during which the Lancashire side has remained unbeaten.

The pair join Craig Conway (Brighton), Simon Lappin (Sheffield United), Joe Ralls (Yeovil Town), Kadeem Harris & Ben Nugent (Brentford) and Deji Oshilaja (Newport County), currently experiencing loan time away from Cardiff City Stadium.

whether we agree with the individuals named here as to the merits of them being on loan, I think it is good for the players and the club - give decent players some game time and offload some wages.
