Tucker: It was incredibly cautious. I think over cautious, especially when you think Villa were booed off at half time and Cardiff were edging it.

Blakey: For me Mutch, Whittingham and Medel are the three best midfielders. But I can't understand why Whitts keeps passing the ball to Medel.
He's the best passer at the club.
Tucker: They had no attacking force against Villa.

Blakey: I would like to see Craig Noone play. I've played with players who I wasn't sure about who proved to be superb. Look at Ben Turner this season, he has stepped up afer having an opportunity.

Blakey: If we went to 4-4-2 who would be the second striker? I don't think you can get away with emptying the midfield in the Premier League. I don't think we are strong enough physically in midfield to play two - against most teams. We would get over-run.
Tucker: I would look at playing one just behind the striker?

Tucker: At £8m Andreas Cornelius must be big player for Malky. We need to see him soon.
Blakey: Only then will we see Malky's intended pattern. He would have worked all this out in the summer and then one of his lynchpins got injured. Imagine if Caulker or Medel had been injured like that. At the moment we are just covering. It will take a few years to get internationals on the bench.

Tucker: At the moment everything seems calm on the Malky front. We don't know if it's a break in hostilities but Mackay seems more settled. Tan has kept himself to himself for a few days.
Blakey: If Malky does well with Tan's money, it creates another problem. You have to think of the dynamics of it.

Blakey: I think we can stay up with the current squad. It will be so tight, but I think we will - just about. Palace are gone but Sunderland are playing better under Poyet. It was a terrible weekend for Cardiff. My biggest worry is Jol leaving Fulham and them having an upsurge.
