All games a below par standard. Considering some people would like to believe the premier league is the best in the world, I'd say that's a myth
Anyone can beat anyone in the top flight, as proved already this term

Can't believe Man City have lost to us, Villa and Sunderland. Unbelievable considering the team they have at their disposal.
Also the results.
3-2, 3-2 and 1-0. They've conceded 7 and scored only 4 against these 3 teams.

Can be argued either way. Nobody can doubt the class of Man City. The fact they have lost to us Villa and Sunderland may speak volumes about the strength of the league as a whole.

They're Jekyll and Hyde. Sometimes they look unstoppable then today woeful. You can have all the talent in the world but if you haven't got the dog to go with it away from home then they'll keep playing second fiddle to United
United defended well today and smothered Arsenals creativity. One chance was enough

Totally agree City Gent, Premier not all that in my opinion, but most European leagues are the same..Just look at it, Man United struggled against Real Sociedad and Real Madrid give them a pasting yesterday. Look at Pelegrini today against Sunderland, he rested his back line against them, but I think the lower Spanish teams are much much weaker than Premier teams. Come on, what lower team in La Liga could splash out 9 million for Medel and 8.5 million for Caulker???

tbh james when you beat them if vincent kompany had been on the pitch i doubt those goals from set pieces would have happened.you deserved it though as you played well.the winning villa goal was shocking and the sunderland goal a poor one to concede too.ok here is a question for you.kompany apart how many of the man city defenders would you want at the ccs?

It's not the best league for quality, but certainly the most exciting and competitive.
The jacks would do a lot better in the Spanish or Italian league with their tippy tappy stuff, but it's so boring.
Give me the English premier league every day of the week.

I tend to gauge it, by how well the British teams are doing in Europe and at this moment all our European teams are doing very well and looks like they will all qualify to the next stages, so maybe the quality this year is just more evenly spread in the Premiership?
