Before kick off

Sun Nov 10, 2013 1:58 am

Did anyone see our team sheet and think, yes that's the right team to play against Aston villa away?

The team honestly boggles my mind and can't understand it in the slightest.

Villa had 4 or 5 good players out injured. They were there for the taking. Malky fucked up, fact.

There's no easy games and we were away.

How cowie is on any team sheet is mind boggling

So you seen it and thought it was the correct team?

I'm not saying it is easy or that we had a right to get points away at villa. I'm saying that team chosen had little chance.

Was surprised to see Mutch and Kim on the bench. Felt one of them should have started, could have got at the Villa defence.

Mutch has surprised me this season, one of our best players in the games he's played so far.

I would have put odemwingie out wide, brought on Campbell and Maynard as he looked really lively when he came on, I wouldn't have played cowie or bellamy.
Whats wrong with Noone not having a run out? :(

When I saw the team announced in the concourse yesterday I was not surprised with Cowie and Bellemy to be honest playing but gunnerson instead of mutch was not the right decision I think the game was crying out for Noone to start on the wing with Campbell up top.
Gunner playing in the no10 role was madness surely Kim, mason, mutch are all better options. I am afraid Malky tactics are playing into tans hands but while recognising Villa are established premier side there was nothing to fear.
Surely we Need to have a go at the sides around us and play a defensive pressing game against the top eight sides.

When I heard the team I certainly wasn't expecting a feast of free-flowing, attacking football from us.

I wasn't disappointed.

Agree, the mixture of all 3 starting left us with little chance.

It seems only malky thought it was the right team by the responses. It is an odd one.

Baffling. Don cowie? Bellamy? I just don't understand. Craig no one can give us hope of beating a player and get it into the area where we can score goals. Kimbo needs a run of games. Come on malkey, some of these teams are average like us, let's not park the bus every game. :ayatollah:

Gunnarsson and Odemwingie starting was a shock for me.

I thought it would have been same team with Mutch for Gunner, not what I would have liked but thought Cowie would start as he played well against Jacks.
Not wanting to go off topic but can't understand how a player who didn't get much game time in Championship is quite a regular now in Prem?
