The daggers are out

Sat Nov 09, 2013 5:48 pm

Nice to see the daggers are out, 1 week after every1 was bumming malky. We are well on course for 40 points, the points are ticking over nicely, as long as we keep winning our home games against the so called weaker teams like Swansea then we will be fine. Playing away is all about nicking a point or 3 and that's how malky set out today :malky:

Re: The daggers are out

Sat Nov 09, 2013 5:56 pm

ive always said, I support malky aslong as he is our manager I wont ask for him to be sacked but I wont be disappointed to see him leave purely on his footballing style, I haven't liked it for the last 2 seasons and I don't like it now, I will always trust malky and yes he has done a great job but I will always want to see a different style of play than he gives us

It's been working tho, would you prefer he set up the team like teams like Norwich and Sunderland who have spent just as much money. There are defo 3 teams worse than us in this league, Hull will get dragged into the dogfight as well I have no doubt about that

We would like to see nice football but do we have the right players for it at the moment, there is no attacking flair this is the only we he can set up. If another manager comes in now and starts going all out with the players we have I think we will be ass raped

Villa was there for the taking today.....but we needed to go and get that first goal

And we didn't look like we were ever going to get one today....to cautious.

The man city result is a 1 in 25 occurence. Last minute stunner against fulham and a set play against swansea.

3 goals from open play this season.

we have got players who can play in a more attacking role imo I just think malky is not confident in playing in a more attacking style and just don't want to chance anything which is not a bad thing but it bores f**k into some fans

We need a winger and someone to hold the ball up, surely worth giving noone a game

Re: The daggers are out

I've been calling for Malky out since the start of October thank you. I even got messages asking if I was angelis because of it and I even got messages on my old account from angelis about how its nice to be agreed with etc. I'll admit when Malky gets it right like he did vs Swansea but lets not delude ourselves, today Villa were without Weimann and Agbonlahor and were there for the taking early on. We should have set our stall out and we should have made our presence known by going at them. Instead Malky set up to once again contain with Cowie and Gunnarsson.

When Malky is sacked he'll only have himself to blame and I for one couldn't care less. Whilst I appreciate that you must be tight in defence and counter I also appreciate there needs to be a balance and Malky does not have that. We had Jones who would set us out to attack and we could thrash teams but we'd concede loads as well and often fell apart in defence, especially late on. We now have Malky who is the opposite. Hard to break down but finds it difficult going the other way and playing expansive creative football. The sooner we get in someone like Di Matteo who understands the concept of sitting deep and breaking the better. Only then will the likes of Noone and so on be utilised and we'll break with purpose and this will make teams wary of us in itself. We'll also be more likely to win more penalties and so on.

Stoke have done fine for the last 7 odd years playing similar so why not us. If you want to watch fancy football go and watch the rats down west

Stoke have had players like Jones, Jerome, etc. up front. Now, I may be mistaken but I'm pretty sure they are much taller and stronger than both Campbell and Odemwingie.
