Malky's time is up anyway. Tan wont put up with this.

Gosh what has surprised me most is that some people didn't expect this.

I always said I expected this style against the big 4 not against teams around us. We should at least try and score

If it keeps us up then who gives a f**k. People keep forgetting this season is not one to enjoy but to cement

I expected a boring 1-1. I knew a trip to Villa Park would be difficult as it is for every team. However, the lack of fight was worrying as was the lack of adventure and ambition. Im not going to continue on though as I do strongly believe Malky's time is up and he's either gone during this international break or he'll be gone after the two tough games ahead. Can't see him making December as our manager unfortunately and Tan will bring in someone new ready for January who he'll give a few million to, to spend on players in the transfer market.

The only thing we will be cementing will be the concrete pouring in around us while we stand still without a fight if we play like that weekly and we have and got away with it somehow in games so far, its boring mate if we atleast have a go at scoring rather than the old rely on a SET PIECE to score it would be something but we offer nothing else other than the set piece route.

I agree to an extent. But it was just a few months ago when people would take 17th spot all day long at the end of the season. Were doing ALOT better than that at the moment and weve won the first leg of the SW derby. What more do people want?! Villa are one of the most established teams in the premier league form aside. It is frustrating to watch but I think Malky is getting it spot on this season. We were unlucky today. Its a season where we can beat Man U 1-0 but lose to Palace 3-1 quite easily

How many times have Villa won at home this season? How many goals have they scored in the last few games?

We showed no intent for the win. We should have put Kim and Noone and try and get at Villa. Can not see Tan putting up with this.

I would rather go down fighting than the malky way of " Lets sit back with ten men behind the ball while still losing and hope for a set piece to score " wouldnt you barnett :ayatollah:

I'd rather watch cement dry than watch Cardiff play at the moment, it's painful at times.

Although I was a lot more excited at the thought of going to games last season, I dont believe these statements for a second and if we beat utd in 2 weeks through boring football, it will be difficult even for the negative brigade on this forum to hide their boners

Not really. A win vs Man Utd is the same as a win vs Villa and losing vs Man Utd. Its still 3/6 points picked up. The problem is the more games we lose against teams we can take the game to, the more pressure and the harder we make it for ourselves to collect points against teams we are expected to lose against as the Malky brigade like to say.

Malkys management position is untenable. We might not see it now but it is. Continuous boring football will result in one of two things, Malky will walk claiming he had no support from the boars or he will be dismissed without a reason coming from the board because they can do that. The latter will come after the next 2 home games I believe. Games we are expected to lose therefore making it 3 games on the trot and possible leaving us in a relegation spot. An idea time for Tan to make his move. Adding to all this and with Malkys ex right hand man now at Palace who themselves are looking for a manager, well what does 2 and 2 make?

Got to love some of you guys on here, you act like the stereotypical know it all football fans.

Telling Malky to "Have a go" Without actually suggesting any tactics, suggesting Noone should be given a shot despite realising that Malky watches him in training almost every day and obviously doesn't think he's the answer.

It's time people realised that we have one of the worst squads in the league, and our players struggle to play attacking passing football. Malky doesn't deserve this abuse for his tactics, he's playing to the squads advantages. If anything he deserves plaudits for his tactics.

The thing he deserves criticism for is his summer buys. Although Medel is a quality player, £12million was just too much of his budget spent on a player that can only really pass it side ways. £7+million on a striker that has only one season of experience under his belt in Denmark.

So Malky doesnt deserve abuse of his tactics because he is only playing to his squads strengths.
An entire squad put together by Malky himself! Who else is to blame??

Malky has had the money......no excuses.

Its his f*cking squad
Plaudits for putting together a squad / tactics void of any pace and attacking intent ??!?!

He spent 35m+ ffs.

Re: BORING BORING MALKY

Sat Nov 09, 2013 7:17 pm

Part of the problem now is that the players have got into this defensive mindset, so when they have the opportunity to attack they take the wrong options, allowing the opposition to regroup. Maybe another manager can get them thinking more positively and making better choices.
Team choice today was poor IMO. Would have started with Mutch and Noone, not Bellamy and Cowie. Would have had Campbell up front with Odemwingie on the right & no Gunnarson.
Anyway, onwards and er, ...

Our fans expect too much. We're 13th ffs. If we were in the relegation zone you have the right to complain but not when we're 5 places above it. If we survive then Malky's done a fantastic job.
