world/euro league....

Sat Nov 09, 2013 8:01 am

I personally think a Euro, but possible world league is only about 5-10years away.

Why has the major clubs not opposed the Qatar world cup?is it because they think they won't be governed by UEFA or fifa by then.

Why did Beckham insist in a ownership venture in the states. No matter what people say th guys behind Beckham know how to make serious cash. And I can't see him making millions in just the mls.

Why is the premiership awash with foreign owners? Why we're psg bought, as they wouldn't make any decent cash even with a champions league win with the wage bill, transfers etc against what they make back with tv and ticket revenue.

Now all the owners are tapped in to people in high places, they obviously know something is going to happen, as no doubt tan does. If it does go world league, nicknames will come in place, now tan knows dragons beat business in marketing worldwide. An whilst I'm not suggesting we would make a world top 20 league, is he looking at div 2of this, building a name an then selling off.if he is to make serious cash from us, getting involved in some way into what would become a franchise closed shop league, getting Into the system would make serious money when selling up.

Just my personal guess at what's going to happen and why people are buying regional club of size. Hoping to.climb the league's quick so then do have team of standing in a certain region when the league is drawn up. I.e forest and Sheffield United would be nottingham (something) sheffield United becoming Sheffield something. The only ones probably excepmt would be your big brand teams. Liverpool Chelsea, United, man city etc.

Just my opinion, but I do think football as we know it is soon to die, an we adapt or get left behind

I think this is a very interesting and possibly realistic proposition albeit from a European League point of view.

Many of us have been supporting the club for many years. Myself since 1973. We are used to lower league football. We are used to the financial problems and we are used to Chairman coming and going.

The fact is, whether we like it or not, the Premier League is a different beast. It is there to make money and it is there to make people money - and whether we like it or not histories go out of the window where there are $$$ to be made.

I am not saying that's right. Its just that's the way it is.

I do think we are on the cusp of a European League and I think 5-10 years might be the right timeframe.

I don't think it's right but everything moves on, and football has never been any different.

I think it will be a Euro league, America's league, Asia, Africa then a world champions league, an international football will die as we know it. Clubs don't need UEFA or fifa.

Being a club with some involvement is what tan has his eye on. Cardiff would be like Sam kind of wanted, wales only club... jacks would still exist but only like rugby clubs below the Welsh regions do.
