Same here about the Wire, couldnt get into it...

Got told its on a par with the sopranos so thought id give it a look and watch a few episodes. i couldn't get into it and gave up watching also

im thinking of giving the wire a go myself,
i did try mad men, watched 1 epsiode, within 20mins i was bored shitless

Start at series 3, it will make you want to go back

I've watched Two episodes of season one, and have been told the seasons 3,4,5 are just phenomonal.
Time will tell I suppose.

My old pops tells me I should watch sons of anarchy but I watched a trailer and didn't fancy it to be honest.

The Wire is brilliant after Season 2, just caught up with Sons of Anarchy that is brilliant also.

The Wire is the GOAT. I've watching Breaking Bad and The Sopranos and neither come near it. Its on a whole different level in terms of its message and deepness.

I can't help but keep going back to it anytime there's nothing on. First 2 series are unbeatable. The magnificent 7 couldn't have been cast any better! Oz and Barry are absolute legends!

I watched it right through, it did get better, but nowhere near as good as the sopranos IMO

for me its "breaking bad", "the wire" and "the sopranos" in that order.

Currently watching the new "house of cards" - very good. Never heard of that "sons of anarchy", may checkout piratebay later

The wire is my favourite. Seen all of sopranos, breaking bad, game of thrones (shit), dexter,sons of anarchy, homeland, 24 and its still the best.

Watched the wire and thought it was the muts nuts.
Then I watched Breaking Bad, and then I watched Breaking Bad again!
Then I watched Talking Bad too.
I am considering watching Breaking Bad for a third time.

I may watch the wire again in a year or so.

I have said what I have watched.
also agreed the Wire was good too.

The wire is one of my all time faves, stick with it can get quite convoluted and slow at times but the pay off is all ways worth it and it gets better the further into it you get

The Wire is a masterpiece. It gets better and better.

On the subject of tv series, anyone watch season one of Ray Donovan? Thought that was quality too. Look forward to season two.

Also season four of Boatdwalk Empire has starters well.

sons of anarchy is well worth a watch, amazing writting, not affraid too do story on something very dark, and its very well scripted. and it never seems like, awh not this shit again, the stories are fresh
