1 Point out of our next 3 games will suit me fine

We have done incredibly well with the start we have had getting 12 points from 10 games. This works out at 1.2 points a game and if we keep up this ratio, we will finish the season on 45 points. Our home form will define our season and bearing in mind we have already played Man City, Everton and Spurs in our first 5 home games, we've had an excellent start.

This is why 1 point from our next 3 games won't disappoint me. Any point away from home is a good result and I will settle for a point at Villa now. Villa are very inconsistent but if at their best, can give anyone a game at home. If Villa have one of their off days, we could maybe sneak a win, but we have no right to expect to beat anyone away this season. Villa have already beaten Man City at home like ourselves, so it will be another tough game and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if we get a reality check after winning the derby.

When you consider we are at home to Man Utd and Arsenal after Villa, that will mean from our first 7 home games, we will have played 5 of the teams who finished in the top 6 last season. Any point in our next 2 games home games will definitely be an unexpected bonus. Whatever happens, 1 point from our next 3 games will still leave us on 13 points from 13 games, which isn't bad at all, especially as we have still yet to play any teams at home in our mini league.

When we get the Man Utd and Arsenal games out of the way, our remaining home games are West Brom, Southampton, Sunderland, West Ham, Norwich, Aston Villa, Hull, Fulham, Liverpool, Crystal Palace, Stoke and Chelsea. Out of those 12 home games, only Liverpool, Chelsea and perhaps Southampton look games we may struggle to get a result from. The other 9 games look like games we could potentially get wins from if we are at our best. Obviously we won't win every one of them, but we must concentrate on getting a good few wins and a healthy points total from those 9 home games, as I think these games will decide our fate.

I think if we do well in those 9 home games and pick up a few points on the road when possible, we can keep up our 1.2 points per game ratio, which will give us a superb first season. As the Man City game showed, we can give anyone a game at home. Even our disappointing Newcastle performance still had Newcastle hanging on for dear life at the end and we are capable of causing a scare to Liverpool, Southampton and Chelsea at home for some more upsets. Also, if we strengthen our squad even further in the January window, I think we could perhaps do better in our away games.

Whatever happens over our next 3 games, there will still be a lot of points left to play for. We are doing well and when looking at the home games we have left, I think there's every reason for optimism.

agree with the 1 point............by the end of the month we will have 9 of the bottom 11 left to play at home {the other 2 in that 11 of course being ourselves and the jacks }.. with only southampton,chelsea and liverpool of the top 9 to come here......in our hands

Man Utd have a massive Champs League game away at Bayern Leverkusen on the Wednesday after our Sunday game with them. They have to get a result there really else could be 3rd in group end of night. Think they will have an eye on that game for sure and rest a few, we can really catch them off guard I reckon a win is not that out the question

Im not sure how anyone can be happy with 1 point in three games.

While its not unrealistic we need to be setting our targets a lot higher.

I think we'll get something on Saturday and get some sort of result against United or Arsenal.

Could be anything between two and six points from these three IMO.

I'll go with four. Beat Villa, lose to United, draw with Arsenal.

We have all right to expect to beat Villa away seen as how poor they are at home. I'd like us to win because I can't see us beating either United or Arsenal.

That would be my guess too. Can't see us getting anything from Arsenal with the form they are in but Man Utd are not at their best at the moment so we must stand a chance there.

im gonna be controversial and Say we can turn over one at home. Why? Because we are cardiff city and we tend to live up to big occasions. Apart from Cup finals

Fully expecting a weakened United side considering the importance of their Champs League game, so an upset is defo on the cards!

Lets hope the players are not going into the game with such a defeatist attitude
