Malky was in good spirits today and very upbeat, he is concentrating on his job and working tirelessly like the true professional we have become to know.
Although there was no meeting between Malky and Tan, there was one between Malky and Mehmet Dalman after the Swansea game.
Malky trusts Dalman and respects him and Dalman respects what a manager we have.
For the first time in 3 weeks I have heard something positive regarding Malky's position as our manager and that through Dalman it looks like Tan is being told how important Malky is and it seems that there is hope that Tan is taking it on board.
The last international break was a shocker concerning our club, let's just hope that when we enter the next break next week there will be no repeat performance.
Malky still has his recruitment team looking for the players and despite the absence of Iain Moody, the search for new players is continuing.
I believe the next week or two will be crucial to Malky staying as manager of the club, if Tan is going to relieve Malky of his role then he will do it in the international break but what was said today has given me hope that Malky will stay and rightly so.

Carl,
Mehet Dalman is the key to whether Malky stays not Tan, for the first time Malky has a football/financial person on his side, I think he has become his soul mate in all things football at the club.
My respect goes out to Mr Dalman, for the way he has fought Malky's corner.

Good to hear

Also if you heard what was said by local journo in Malaysia tan has been getting negative reviews of his interference in team effairs And the way British teams are run. Also we are generally getting on board local malasians as there neutral team to support outside of man u ect, get impression tan is keeping low profile now as not to damage his reputation any further?

Dalman appears to be the key and, by all accounts, is a sensible and pragmatic character.
There is hope and let's hope Dalman can talk sense to Tan.
We've got the best City manager I've known in over 30 years supporting this club.

To be Honest I think its up to us as Fans ,to let Tan know how much Malky means to us fans at the next game Tan attends.

Totally agree with you Roy

The damage has been done, the trust needed between a club's owner and it's manager has been lost, I still believe once another offer of a job at another Prem club becomes available and Malky is in the frame for it he'll quite rightly walk..and who can blame him.

Was it Mr Tan who brought in Mehmet Dalman? I've forgotten how he got to the club. Or was it someone else? Just asking as I have forgotten.

It is a bit late to get Moody back I think. I dont think its impossible but it would mean eating humble pie with noodles, and would cost a fortune, but stranger things have happened. It would certainly put us back on track with the mad emperor. ( I bet he rues the day he fooked with the Bluebirds)

Fans are a fickle bunch though, if we had lost to Swansea I have no doubt the pressure would have been on him even more so going into some tough games.
I don’t know but my guess is that Tan would prefer someone else but is happy to leave Malky in charge while results are going our way. I don’t buy into this talk of him being jealous, if he really wanted to be loved by the fans he wouldn’t have done the rebrand. I don’t think he cares what the fans think as long as the ground is full why would he.

When we lose to Man Utd's devil and Arsenal's gun Malky's job will come under further threat as Tan won't understand how such weak symbols beat the mighty dragon after the bluebird taught it to fly so elegantly. The sad truth is, whilst Tan is at the helm, there is no stability and anything can be done on a whim. The Moody situation came out of the blue. Why would the sacking of the manager be any different? Tan see's it as his club now and he'll do as he pleases.

So you expect us to win then? I don't. I expect us to lose and I'll be overly impressed and the teams will have surpassed my expectations if they manage to take 1 point from the 6 on offer. Its called realism.

Don't give up mate, we can shut up shop against the best of them. It will be hard but so were Man City, Spurs on top form and Everton, and we picked up points there
As for Tan fingers crossed he is backing off and will leave Malky get on with it.......

If that is the case though do you think something like that would smooth things over or antagonise the whole situation?

Agree with the fickle bit, last week v Norwich wanting him out and now wanting to do chants to appreciate him and full support. What a result does I guess.

I couldn't say I fully expect us to win,no, but I'd probably say 'if we lose'. The beauty of football is that you never know. I'm more of a glass half full sort of person.
People were saying 'when we lose' to Man City!
Of course I take your point & I'll also be impressed if we can get a point from the two games!
