Malky will not be the next Norwich Manager

Tue Nov 05, 2013 11:47 am

Dispite all the rumour and speculation Malky will remain as manager with us for the forseeable future for the following reasons.
- Malky has a good length contract on good money here.
- Norwich is only a step sideways and if Malky were to move it would have to be an upwards step to a bigger club (his stock in the game is high at present)
- Malky is not particularly wanted by Norwich fans (See their notice boards)
- Whilst Tan has made a hash of the position with "Moody Gate" he will keep his head down and let it all drift into history, he cannot afford toget rid of Malky because it could all unravel in front of him and he likes the status of a Premier league owner

Thoughts ?

Agree with all the points. In fact keeping Norwich up looks like a harder task than Cardiff regardless of issues with Tan. Cardiff have a settled squad who are all playing for the shirt and a good togetherness, I don't think Norwich have the same spirit right now, and with the investment they made in the summer big things are expected, which they aren't going to deliver on...

Why do people think we will automatically get relegated if Tan sacks Malky or he walks?

obviously not automatically relegated but it would be one hell of a blow to the club, a blow we may not recover from

Norwich is a club very close to his heart..........and his family really like it there HE SAID..
the fact he has a long contract, and is on good money, IS the reason he didnt walk over moody, wouldnt be at all suprised if Moody actually begged him not to walk..most of us would i think in same position..jobs dont grow on trees.not at this level..As for Norwich fans not wanting him.....how many of us had Malky top of our wish list when he came here.....Fans dont pick managers..or Colours.
Norwich..is a sideways step yes..but do you really see a step up on cards?..should it end up he goes there,he would be given time in a club where those holding the purse strings like him.............have you ever had a job where your boss dont like you?..thats where he is now.....
as for relegation..we can go down..or stay up..with Malky...........a new manager might do better or worse......that is football...........

Extremely valid point Craig and unfortunately rather than be discussed properly you'll just get bashed for this by those who can't see their infatuation for Malky. Whilst I wouldn't mind him staying, I won't be heart broke like some will if he is sacked.
