There's no one that likes banter and a wind up more than me, but some of the stuff steps over the mark relating to real life incidents.
When Terry marsh was killed by that horse in Rotherham, I sent the family a wreath on behalf of the Valley rams, a few years later when some sicko put that watch out for hoses as a message on the screen at the Millenium stadium, I sent his widow a bouquet and a letter appolgising for what had happened and saying we weren't all scum at Cardiff.

When the shoe was on the other foot so to speak and we tragically lost one of our own Mikey, I was touched and couldn't believe how many Jacks sent a donation to the fund and messages of condolence.

For f**k sake real tragedy and suffering should not come into banter, but general piss taking and winding up is all fair game and part of what has always attracted me about football.

My wife is from Swansea for God sake and I have spent a big part of my life doing Judo down there and have hundreds of friends in the area, they call me Cardiff scum, I call them Jack Bastards, to me and them it's a badge of honour.

They call us the dwarves and I'm six foot six, we claim they got six fingers and I've checked my Mrs over a few times and she only got five each hand, it ain't real, it ain't even personal, it,s banter and let's celebrate it and enjoy it for what it is. :old:

There was quite a bit of 'sssssss' noises and gas a Jack chants going on in the Canton yesterday. Shouldn't happen.

I didn't realise that's what it was, I thought it was shhhhhhhhh because they were so quiet. Totally uncalled for!

That was me, that was banter and that wasn't real life, there would be no jokes told in the world if everyone was that sensitive, if such a thing had happened in real life I'd be the first to try and help, f**k me, if you find that upsetting, please don't read my face book page, or have a pint in any pubs up here in Valley land, it will push you over the edge.

I since found out that no one was really injured, and it actually was a crash for cash scam, so perhaps the jokes on me ( this is so going to go over so many heads  you'll have people saying did it happen, was it true, was it a scam, f**k sake I'd fry their heads if they cam on an away trip on our bus.

f**k sake the drama over that "Joke" Gwyn told its only cos of who he is its being blown out of all proportion.

Did the pope really tell Swansea to f**k off? Do they really finger their sisters and eat rats down there? Did their father touch thetm at 10 years old?

The worst of the day was hearing a few lads in Canton singing "Angel Rangel, we wish you were dead".

Uncalled for.

It's a disgrace and that's that.

The perps were either imbeciles or drunk. Or both.

A very sad day that.

Re: Mocking dead fans

I hope the people who are disgusted with said chants reported them to stewards for it then. If not then you are not helping the problem at all and are allowing it to continue. Maybe you should tell the idiots around you chanting it or trying to start it to not do so and if they continue to do so that you'll report them with others.

In the Ninian Block 116 in the season Bellamy first come on loan and we played Leeds some idiot by us started shouting 'Galatasaray' thinking he was clever and thankfully a guy 2 rows behind me, about 6f4, went up to him and put him straight. His face was a picture and he had been put in his place and he shut up after that. Whether he had drank too much or just generally a horrible human being I don't know but still that man who put him in his place was right to do so.

As much as that Johnny poster does my head in, he's right, the stewards cant act if people don't make them aware of situations arising. Whilst some may think its 'shopping your own fans', its not, because as Gwyn rightly pointed out, real football fans and enthusiasts wouldn't chant that vile rubbish and know where the line between life and football is drawn. There's a mutual respect between true fans and the banter is the banter and I have Jacks on my uni football team and they'll be getting grilled in training on Wednesday ;) but I wouldn't wish ill on any of them at all as they're good people like most others. Unfortunately, there are still some in society who think Shankly's statement was correct. These people couldn't be more wrong.

barney,s on the button here.gywns joke is a what it is -a joke.it never happened so no one got hurt.the death of fellow football fans and fellow human beings did happen.to mock that is sickening.we all love a bit of banter but celebrating someones death is beyond comprehension.
