Good to see him back in the centre yesterday, 2nd half especially along with Medel he controlled the tempo of the game.
He has a wand of a left foot and with Gary alongside him to get stuck in I think it could bring out the best in Whitts.

Yet people still moan every time he misplaces a pass or sends a shot into the stands. Easily one of the better players in our team

Yep i must admit he played well yesterday and never went hiding , as he do some times.
Even went into 50/50 ball and didnt pull out at the last moment . well done Whitts lets see you like that in every game.

He badly needed that performance yesterday. He's got the undoubted talent, but I've been worrying about his recent performances
I'm looking forward to seeing him come out of his shell a little more. He'll be vital to us

His best performance of the season for me.

Agreed! Could be interesting to see how that works long term, could be great partnership!

Whitts played well back in the middle and so did Bellers back out the left, I thought we looked a much more balanced side, Bellamy never seems to perform on the right but barely let's us down on left.
As others have said Whitts alongside Gary looks good, a huge percentage of his passes were to Whitts .

I think the tempo of the game suited his languid style. The game wasn't a usual 100mph premiership game. Not taking anything away from his performance, just an observation.

I think Medel give a lot of freedom to some of our players to push forward and gave them extra room for Whitts and Mutch.
