As long as the media continues to laud clubs who've entered administration and recovered whilst their creditors have to go without until they get the balance sheets in check, the more clubs will see it as a voluntary (Individual Voluntary Arrangement) way out of problems and a way to work their way up the pyramid system. It should be seen as a disgraceful blemish on both football and the business world.
Swansea and clubs like Swansea may have paid back their creditors long after but at the time people went without and families struggled because of the actions of that club. That is a fact that cannot be denied. Had Topman or Vodafone done something of this nature their would be uproar and rightly so.
Why is it different when a football club does it? They may be more than just a business but that doesn't give them or any other club the right to do such a thing. Clubs who enter administration should be forced to start at the bottom of the pyramid system and told to get their act together or face expulsion from the leagues. After 3 entries to administration they should be banned from entry from the league system.
Crystal Palace have entered administration twice in their history and are a disgrace to football and business regardless of what anyone says. Seriously, in any other context it would not be lauded, in any other context it would not be seen as a rags to riches revival or something to be proud of so why in football?
