Andrew Taylor fantasic gesture

Mon Nov 04, 2013 7:34 am

Came up to the Ninian stand to applaud the fans after the game had finished and gave his jersey to some youngster who was as you can imagine over the moon.

this was just by us - great gesture, even made sure the steward knew exactly which kid it had to go to.

He gets some stick on here sometimes (which player doesn't :( ) but he fights every single game and 'gets us' as a crowd.

Well done mate :ayatollah:

That was my boy that got the shirt. He was well happy, not only had we just beat the jacks but then his favourite player gives him his shirt :D :ayatollah:

I must admit, I wasn't his biggest fan when he first joined because I felt he left us too exposed at times. He's been fantastic for a while now and has made that left back position his own for the past 15 months really. Proven he can perform at the highest level as well. :ayatollah:

He was pretty terrible in the first half. We need a new LB.

OP, fantastic gesture. I met Taylor and he came across a nice guy.

To be honest Frazier Campbell gave his shirt away to a youngster by us at Norwich. Must admit its good to see. I don't think it would have happened under DJ

Gunnarsson gave his pre match shirt to someone in the Canton, as does Bellamy in other games

If he kept tighter to his opponent he,d be ok,just gives em to much room,up his arse as my old coach used to say(marking not sexual)

Unfortunately I fully agree, he has been exposed easily in the Premier League because he doesn't do the basics right (eg: keep tight to your man). As the season has gone on you can see that the opposition know that he is the weak link.

However a very nice gesture anyhow.

That was my boy Fraizer gave his shirt to he was over the moon... small token gestures from the players but huge impact on these kids who idolise them as footballers and creates memories forever. .

Great gesture, and I liked that he said we make a difference in games and asked us to keep it up against the Jacks. He's a mate of a bloke from work, they went to school together, he said he's a top guy, down to earth (with a massive house, my mates jealous as f**k). Another mate from work is a Boro fan and asked if he works hard for the team, apparently he didn't track back one time and Boro conceded, there's a pic of him smirking after the goal and the fans never forgave him, that's why Boro got rid. I assured him everyone works hard for Malky, and that wouldn't happen in a Malky Mackay side.
