Didn't feel like a South Wales Darby!

Sun Nov 03, 2013 8:51 pm

Been to a couple cardiff Swansea games but the atmosphere especially in the first half was shit.it picked up towards the end and loved giving it to the them gypos.was expecting it to be a lot more hostile from the start.

Not just saying it but I rarely heard the jacks, especially second half where every time I looked over they looked motionless and passive :ayatollah:

At times the canton were fantastic and really funny :ayatollah:

Worse fans to come down here by far this season. Honestly, expected a lot more from them.

It could've been but we were definitely singing it the Canton today, the Ninian was poor for a derby game

Wasn't the worst atmosphere I've heard to be honest, but was disappointing for an occasion that big.

Can't hear the Canton from the furthest side of the Ninian and vice versa. Canton stand was nothing special today, average atmosphere.

I disagree, the atmosphere was brilliant today, all the pundits and neutrals were saying it. The Ninian just seems to be getting worse and worse though which is a shame.

Was a good atmosphere after the break, but it wasn't helped by the Jacks not joining in other than to point at the Malaysian flag like some Neanderthal tribe (how fitting) :laughing6:

They were VERY quiet after our goal and the best that they could come up with at the end was the 'Swim Away' (although that may have been done in innocence, as the clammer of them trying to get out of the stadium quickly could so easily have been mistaken for a swimming action) :laughing6:

Shelvey was absolute class at the end. He just couldn't help himself, could he? All his actions did for me was confirm without shadow that we (and I mean 'we') and the team got under his skin! :laughing6:

No.1 team in Wales...now confirmed without doubt!
:malky: :ayatollah: :malky:

On the TV in the pub we could only hear Cardiff chants and nothing from Swansea other than one chant in response to the Ashley Williams chant. They were poor today. Didn't hear Hymns & Arias once.

They gave up on that one and went extremely quiet when our version was belted out :laughing5:

I was right by the Jacks in the Ninian for the first time, as usually Canton or grandstand. To me the Jacks were loud first half and the Canton was shit, but when I'd look over it looked bouncing, acoustics are shit I reckon.
Second half was better from us but sound doesn't seem to carry that far, so if you're an away fan you feel loud and if you're in the canton you feel loud, they really need to swap the stands round. Banter ain't so great when you can't hear the feckers.

First of all, well done on your win.

I thought this post made sense because from the away end, and we all said the same after the game, the home fans sounded very very quiet and we sounded very loud throughout. It's probably the acoustics in the ground. A few of us in my group were shocked at the atmosphere in that it seemed very low-key up until you scored. Naturally, you were louder and we were quieter for a while after that.

Just watched the game back on TV, and the noise cardiff were making was deafening. That is the loudest I have heard our support on TV, you can hear the chants at the gypos clearly. It was defiantly the loudest I have heard the stadium all season, especially in the 2nd half.
