Well over that years that wheelchair got us into more locked doors and closed pubs than I'd like to own up to, and on this occasion it worked again, we got thru the police ring around the Vetch and just blagged our way in. We wre put as always pitch side not far from the dugouts.
There may have been a handful of City fans lucky enough to have got in, but they had to sit on their hands, we however went ballistic when Simon Howarth scored, after the goal he wheeled around and the only fans he seen celebrating was this giant and a 4ft eight bloke in a wheelchair, he ran over to celebrate in front of us, it was like having a personal audience with the Pope.
The chief steward seen this and run over to us shouting"no cheering" well after we stopped laughing we told him to go f**k himself, and he threatened to throw us out, and i said that would make great headlines in the paper, disabled fan thrown out of football ground for cheering, even he was bright enough to see he was in a no win situation.
I was half expecting to find half of Swansea waiting outside for us, but I had a plan, and i was going to push Beefy into them in his chair and run like f**k to save myself, but luckily there was no need.

I got a girl to drive a couple of us down there and I managed to get to a turnstile and as I was just about to go in, I felt a hand on my shoulder by a copper I didn't know, saying no chance Annis and just said best just to go home, as I walked away from the Vetch there were some mad Valleys just standing out on the main road shouting do the![]()
Another time when we were banned we went in cars again, but managed to get in to the Swansea section at the opposite end to the empty away terrace and within minutes Barbara and Jeff Richards both our coppers came over and spotted us out and we were taken to the empty away end, within 20 minutes of the game, the away section had over 400 Banned Cardiff fans in there singing you'll Never ban a City fanWould the Jacks have ever done that down our place, the simple answer is No they never did.

Barbara grassed me up that game as well. Whatever happened to her my lasting memory of her was seeing her in tears at Victoria station at the millwall away game in 99
They kept us in the underground tunnel and it kicked off with the police as our more claustrophobic fans went nuts
