STADIUM ATMOSPHERE FACTOR

Fri Nov 01, 2013 8:05 pm

On Sunday we, the fans, have the opportunity to get the stadium rocking.

We done it against Man City and it has been good against Everton, Spurs and Newcastle but nowhere near the level it was against Man City.

Was it the Sunday afternoon 4pm kick-off that helped or possibly that the fans were in the stadium and by their seats for around 10 mins before kick-off?

It didn't become electric when we took the lead against the mancs, it was like it for the majority of the game.

If we can get the noise levels up to those from that special win then maybe, just maybe, we can give our players the lift.

I think it'll be rocking. Can't wait! :malky:

I think it was mainly down to the size of the team we were playing, and the fact that we didn't hold back, and the players gave us something to cheer!

I think the Swansea game will be bigger, louder, and hopefully a little more hostile.

We get louder when we push forward, we really need to push forward more.

The atmosphere will be better than man city because of the hatred between us and the jacks and if we score first it'll lift the roof off.

Will be a lot better if the Stewards didn't come around telling us to sit down

Atmosphere will be great because of the drinking time allowed pre match :D

There will be loads of strongbow fumes coming from the canton stand :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

A good general knows when to pick his fight and I don't think Sunday is one of those times.

We can on sunday be the 12th man so everyone one of us lucky enough to be in the stadium can roar the boys on to victory :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :D

Excellent points

The 12th man is essential Sunday and with the later kick off, the clocks recently gone back and the smoky remnants of fireworks in the air, it'll be sizzling. People who are nervous about us getting beat 3-0 are underestimating the effect a hostile atmosphere like Sunday will have on the away side. Every pass and tackle will have an extra intensity about them. All the cliches will be used but it really does give the home side an extra pair of legs. It's happened over and over. It was proved tenfold against Man City

I was talking to Paul Abbandanatto earlier Lakey and he said that he thinks the same, he believes like us that when our stadium has been rocking it surpasses anything created by them down the road in the liberty.

If anybody is not going to make any noise what so ever apart from those with disabilities should give up their ticket and call it a day on watching football

I listened earlier to williams's and laudrup's pre-match interviews.
I really don't think that for all his experience laudrup or most of his team have a real understanding of how hot things can get if we are at our best.
If we can replicate the man city atmosphere we will be the winning 12th man.

Its our what? Just a regular away game against the usual dross that comes up from the lower leagues. Always difficult mind as reading this board you all seem up for it and who can blame you. We would be a decent scalp for you.

Here it comes, the "we don't care about you" attitude from the Jacks who spend every day on their rivals forum. :laughing5:

You can really tell they're scared. :D
