This was posted in May but I said throughout last season I would say at the end of it why Velikonja was not getting his chance.

Id rather believe direct quotes from the manager, than a newspaper piece with no quotes at all attributed to anyone & a man pretending to know it all on a forum.

Earnie wasn't good enough to get in the team at the time IMO and he had chances, until Malky decided to play one up top!

I lost count of the amount of times he got caught offside during those games, which was quite frustrating for me, so if Malky felt the same, then that's why Earnie didn't get many chances afterwards!

I think you'll find that Earnie started our first few games, but Malky changed to a 4-5-1 at Blackpool I seem to remember and ended up sticking with that formation!

I don't think Earnie was ever going to figure as a loan striker for us at 4' 9"!
