CARDIFF WANT ZAHA ON LOAN - JAN .

We want Wilfried! Cardiff ask United for Zaha loan deal as Premier League clubs keep tabs on out of favour forward
By RIATH AL-SAMARRAI
31 October 2013.

Cardiff City have asked Manchester United about the possibility of signing Wilfried Zaha on loan in January.
The winger has played only one competitive fixture since joining Manchester United in the summer and David Moyes admitted this week that he is considering letting him go out on loan to get regular game time.
Cardiff manager Malky Mackay is keen on the former Crystal Palace player and a senior source at the club has told Sportsmail that an approach has already been made.

A January move could represent Zaha’s last chance to force his way into the England reckoning ahead of the World Cup.
Having inspired Palace’s promotion last season the 20-year-old has so far failed to break through at Manchester United, not making a single appearance in the Barclays Premier League.

His impressive 77-minute outing against Norwich in United’s 4-0 Capital One Cup win on Tuesday was his first senior game for the Champions since he played an hour of the Community Shield victory over Wigan.
He won his second England cap against Scotland in August, but his prospects of being in the squad for Brazil seem bleak if he does not get more playing time. Moyes admitted: ‘We have to try to make sure he gets some playing time.
'Unfortunately, we haven’t done that with Wilf and, if it’s still the case in January, we would look at it.'
Cardiff’s determination to land Zaha, who is 21 this month, sets up an intriguing race for the forward with south Wales rivals Swansea City.
It is understood that Michael Laudrup is an admirer of Zaha, who cost United £15million, though there is interest from Newcastle, West Brom and Stoke.
Former Palace manager Ian Holloway admitted in September that he failed with a deadline-day attempt to re-sign the player who inspired their promotion to the Barclays Premier League.
Mackay is believed to be a personal fan of Zaha, which is significant considering the controversial restructuring of Cardiff City’s recruitment system last month.
January’s transfer window will be Mackay’s first since his former head of recruitment Iain Moody was sacked by the club and replaced by a 23-year-old with no known experience of football, Alisher Apsalyamov.

I hope not. He is vastly overrated, takes wrong options, gives the ball away and isn't a Malky type of player. He's clearly talented but despite all his moments of brilliance in the Championship (his curler that hit the bar against us was breathtaking, but he won't be able to do that as often in the Premiership), how many goals and assists did he have last season? We can do with someone who's a lot more consistant. Zaha would be a huge gamble who may cost us more points than he wins us.

I think he Will end up possibly at Everton. Moyes on good terms with the chairman, and wants Baines so.needs to butter him up

I prefer Nooney. Really don't like anything about Zaha

I'd rather Montero or Ince, but if we can't get any other wingers, then yes, get him in.

Could be a good call with the the interest in Baines - For me depends if MM is still here with the link to this thread :malky:

Not a Malky type player

Love that pathetic analogy.

Would you rather Don Cowie on the right then as done this season

We are screaming out for sime pace. Wilf Zaha would be a great addition for a club like us.

Would be a great addition to our team. Can't believe people are suggesting otherwise. That said I'd prefer ince.

exactly right.

However Malkys cautious approach means i dont think this is likely, Zaha is the type of player who will lose you there ball in certain areas (basically through actually trying to do something with it) while Don Cowie doesnt. Saftey first unfortunately.

Dont get me wrong i think cowie has a place in the side, and playing him against Chelsea was the right idea imo (who knows what could have happened if that first goal hadnt stood!)

but as you say we need pace, under another manager id say we would get this one done, under Malky im not so sure.

Better than anyone we got going forward at the moment, being him in.

I think zaha on loan to the toffees in jan possibly buttner a part of a summer Baines.

If we can grab zaha let's take him. Every manager raves about him, and if he's good enough for fergie he's good enough for me.

Over rated for Man United yes, But he would do wonders for our team going forward...

Cannot seriously believe some people wouldn't pick him up and drive him here ready for Sunday right this second.

The guy got Palace up on his own near enough and now without him they haven't got a jar of glue.

Perfect player for us, pacey, direct and an eye for goal, if we had a chance in hell of getting him on loan I'd be buzzing.

On that note I can't see it happening, so will keep dreaming of Don Cowie and Craig Noone

I think he is overrated personally but he is the type of player we need.

I would take him - without him Palace would not have gone up last season for sure. For whatever reason Moyes doesn't rate him. Will add depth to our squad and can terrorise defences with pace which we need as on the break we aren't the fastest team.

Cardiff ask Man Utd for Swansea, West Brom, Stoke, Newcastle and Palace target Zaha
MANCHESTER UNITED have SIX teams interested in Wilfried Zaha.

wansea, West Brom, Stoke, Newcastle and Crystal Palace were all lining up the flying England U21 ace.

But Cardiff have now stormed into the race by asking United about the possibility of signing him, according to reports.

Zaha wants to put himself in contention for England's World Cup squad but, with no game-time, he has no chance of doing that Old Trafford.

David Moyes hinted that he would be loaned out in January and there are no shortage of suitors.

Zaha started Tuesday night's Capital One Cup win over Norwich, which was his first United appearance in two-and-a-half months.

He had previously played an hour in the Community Shield victory against Wigan but is now behind the likes of Adnan Januzaj, Nani, Shinji Kagawa and Antonio Valencia in the pecking order.

Whyyyyyy? Adding Zaha will change the team completely.. more attacking..especially with the counter attack!

Would have him here in a shot. Man U will not want to give him to anyone in the top 10( i.e. their competition) but will want to loan him to a team where he will definitely play. Get a decent striker (target man) in as well and we're sorted.

Rumours, on Millwall online, that there is some sort of 'complication', involving a Miss Moyes. Allegedly!

Would be a great singing for us at the moment. Exactly what we are crying out for, pace trickery and attacking threat in the final 3rd. Would do a job for us imo and maybe malky could get the best out of him aswell

Over rated. Ince is twice as good.

Since when did you lot become Real Madrid ffs  I wouldn't mind him at Swansea and any club outside of the top 6 scoffing at Zaha wants their heads testing.
